Tired of the toxic atmosphere of gaming? Well now you can sign up for a special Xbox Live service, FEMALE ONLY, where you can play with girls only. Sorry guys!
So for thoughts, is this even a good idea? Would you use a female-only Facebook? What about a male-only Ebay? Maybe the time is nigh for gender only sites.
But really, though, I can only liken this to a pillow fort with the sign, "No Boys Allowed!"

Based on the decades of gaming I've done and hearing the way young women are spoken to during high-anonymity online gaming, i'd say this is an excellent idea.
And anyone that complains that there isn't a male-only gaming area is retarded, and not only for the reason that Xbox Live already pretty much a male-only environment.
as a father of a future gaming girl, I'm even more happy to hear stuff like this

Can't see the content of the original link anymore, but I loathe stuff like this. This is the exact opposite of what we need. We need to integrate and challenge ideas. We have to be willing to actually talk to each other. It's very unfortunate 95% of the American population is incapable of having a simple conversation laid in reasoned argument, without logical fallacies, straw-men and red herrings. I'm probably part of that 95% group, but self-awareness is a crucial step to acknowledging a problem exists; most people don't want to or aren't even aware of belonging to this camp.

Urbane's clickbaiting us all. www.windowscentral.com/we-saw-xbox-lives-clubs-looking-group-arena Microsoft revealed the addition of Clubs, Looking for Group (LFG), and Arena in their console's browser. -If I'm reading this right Clubs are essentially the XBOX version of Steam groups. You can set up a community dedicated to whatever kind of criteria you want; females only, a certain game, people who like ponies. -Looking for Group is essentially the same thing from MMOs, except you can do it for any multiplayer game. Want to get a custom match of Halo going, but have nobody to play with? Need some people who want to play co-op Assassin's Creed? This is the place to go. -Arena allows people to make their own custom tournaments, but also lets larger tournament hosting organizations integrate with XBOX. Judging by how much influence Steam groups have on the majority of players in Steam, it doesn't drastically alter the quality of the community. It's one of those things you don't care about until you need it, at which point it's pretty cool. Yes, you can have an all-female group. There's not that many limits to what you can dedicate a group to. Of course, what Microsoft will allow or disallow is something I'm antsy about.
