Apparently when the boss goes invisible and is running around on the walls you can still shoot him, which will cause him to fall off. If he falls off where there's no floor, he plunges to his death and that's that. E Z peazy.

Apparently when the boss goes invisible and is running around on the walls you can still shoot him, which will cause him to fall off. If he falls off where there's no floor, he plunges to his death and that's that. E Z peazy. wow really? That gives that strike a whole other turn tbh. If it is somewhat challenging but doable, that could make this strike actually fun. |

Actually it seems like that might've been a fluke. There was video of it happening on reddit, but a lot of others weren't able to reproduce it.

Struggled with the NF. Still not completed it. Stupid Nf timers. Timers in any game are cheap. But when the road to progression comes behind powerful gear and a timer blocks the way...... grrrrr

Key is to kill the shanks asap so they don't have the time to activate the electric floors all around the area. Have to agree though, that boss fight has just a little bit to much of annoying stuff. Carried a lot of players through the nightfall this week though. Even without the cheese it was not that hard for our group (high light), with the cheese it became super easy (and boring) for high light level players. Boss room is just a clear 5-8 minutes of pure frustration. Manage supers and heavy.
In a way I like how nightfalls force you to learn a strike completely, every part of it. But I am afraid it will get super stale in a month or two.

The biggest horse$hit about the nightfall is that is 240 power level activity.
Bull.F$$king.$hit.
I did that strike at 282.. and between being 1 shotted by Vandal snipers and invisible BS... and those f$$king PIKES!!!!! I was getting wrecked like a car at a monster truck show. Hell, iirc, the Enhance! quest line to get the MIDA is 220, and I could solo that with ease.
The only logic I can come to was that there was a hidden arc burn on.... because it was total BS that I was getting slaughtered the way I was.
Anywho... spent 3 hours and hit level 12 on Polo2... If I'm feeling crazy enough... I might try to grind up to level 20, hit 285, all before I talk to Sloane for my free exotic to see if I can get it higher than 110 (ideally, 290+)... but it's being a pain in the butt. I might hit 15 and just give up or not... I dunno yet

markopolo Don't bother with leveling before the story mission exotic drops. The exotics are capped at 105 light, regardless of your level and/or power level. I tried what you are proposing (leveled to 20 and LL 270ish) and got the exotics at 105. I was a little dismayed.

Story missions are a breeze though with your normal weapons. I think doing publics to lvl 20 (as long as you can piggieback on some friends) on earth and then solo story is faster then complete story to get to lvl 20.

Got Polo2 to 20 last night and I just finished freeing Cayde from his teleporter situation. Haven't even seen Ikora, much less the Almighty or Ghaul yet. Best place to level is the EDZ right outside the Holy Church of the Perpetual Sniper Who Never Actually Snipes. Lots of activity all around there. Plus a lot of people come so they can do the heavy lifting and I could poach off them. Plus they did all the heavy lifting for events too... especially the defend the glimmer. Pop a rift around 70ish percent when the yellows come and hop around. Super easy to do too... took me no more than 6 hours of mildcore grinding. Now I just gotta get stormcaller to 100%, earn it, do more missions and then bingobango, I'm ready to double dip rewards! bradman You gotta get in on this baby... you're gonna be doing the same things twice/thrice with me and others anyways so you might as well make another Titan to get the rewards for it and share the gear between em... when I'm ready to get Polo3 up and going, make Company2 |
