Last week:
1)infinite novabomb in Mayham glitch that Bungie deliberately won’t fix until the 9th or later
2) Not earning dawning engrams from dawning stuff
3) 3oC not working or not WAI
One nice thing: the ships I’ve been getting from the daily dawning guft exchange have been sweet. Despite that I only have 1 planetary mat finder, the rewards have been worthwhile

As sad as it sounds, I’ve been having fun grinding out the daily dawing presents. The ships are pretty cool and the mats get me the rep I need for future. Even if I only have 1 planetary mat locator. That being said, I’ll be on tonight if anyone is on.
My outdoor NYE plans are on hold, because it’s been constantly -25/30oC and feels like -35/40/45oC with the wind and almost all of western Canada has been under an extreme cold warning.
(For you Americans... -13/25F and feels like -31/40/49F... Basically, it’s been (at times) colder than both the North and South Poles here.)

FYI once you’ve done all the gift quests once, you don’t have to do them anymore. Just go to the gift pile where you usually pick up a quest, and you get your rewards immediately without having to do anything.
I’ve only ran into one nova bomb glitcher, luckily, although I haven’t played much mayhem outside the Dawning milestone requirements because it just doesn’t appeal to me. The funny part is the glitchers aren’t helping themselves at all. You only get one point for a kill while using the glitch instead of the usual three for a super kill, and I’d guess almost nobody is getting enough kills to make up the point difference. Stupid, really.
The weather here in Missouri is nice and frigid as well, with highs in the single digits (F) the past couple days. Low of -7F tonight, with -20F wind chills. Only a couple degrees off from records lows for this time of year. Not pleasant at all, and I can’t really imagine how much worse it’d be if it were another 20F colder. Yuck!

markopolo: there should be 12. One for each planetary vendor other than Brother Vance and one for each tower vendor other than Tess. I don’t think they drop in any particular order though so having just done Sloane doesn’t mean anything in terms of how many you have left to go. That said, if you’ve been doing them consistently you should be about done.

I might have come across some Nova glitchers earlier since people were using the slow tracking Nova bomb. Had better success with Nightstalker than Gunslinger in Mayhem. The Colony is probably the best power weapon in Mayhem.

Also it has got to be annoying to hear a Guardian's ghost say, "Hey, Asher! Guess what we did?" I find him less annoying than Failsafe anyway. The tone of D2 is out of place considering what is going in the world but I suspect that is partly because of contractual obligations to keep Destiny rated 'teen'. The worst case of script writing that an NPC has to endure is probably Taeko-3 to be honest. Usually when characters commit sacrificial suicide, it's usually impactful on at least some players' emotions at least going by what games have served up so far. But Taeko-3? Nope. :/ |
