I made some recoil plots for COD WWII using Marvel4's spreadsheet and my terrible terrible python skills! This entire post is also contained in an imgur album alongside my thoughts on the various guns. if you'd prefer to digest it there. But otherwise: This is a guide to the colors used. Each weapon was simulated firing a 10 shot burst 1000 times. If a color is more opaque, that means more shots landed there. These are viewkick charts only. Gunkick is pretty consistent with most guns in COD WWII, though a few guns exhibit some notable gunkick, particularly those with very tight patterns (M1 Garand), or the M1941 which has pretty high gunkick in general. The magnitude change numbers are the percent change of average y-position over 100,000 trials. Assault Rifles: SMGs: LMGs I've only made charts for the ARs, SMGs and LMGs, since they seemed the most relevant.

But it's possible that SHG uses small figures for it in this title, not enough to be noticeable but enough to make an effect.

Yeah, the gunkick stats are there and are very minimal. I imagine they're mostly present to give a small amount of inaccuracy to the guns under sustained fire.

but as for the MG-81 and Lewis specifically, isn't the difference between the two visual recoil rather than gunkick? Like isn't it visual recoil that makes the lewis unruly with a sight rather than gunkick?

Like isn't it visual recoil that makes the lewis unruly with a sight rather than gunkick? The Lewis does have SLIGHTLY higher gunkick values than the MG81, in addition to the higher visual recoil, but I'd be totally willing to believe that the visual recoil was more impactful.
