From this website: clanbase.ggl.com/ladderpetition_vote.php?lpid=9425This particular quote caught my eye "The sway bug is, in short, your weapon sways from side to side, up and down, you see this on your screen. But for some reason the sway registers differently on the server, with means you could have swayed away to the left, but the server thinks you've swayed to the right" Is there any truth to this? O.o

That was an issue with Idling that came due to an oversight in Anti-Lag originally, it has been fixed with patches on all platforms.
In the way that Anti-Lag allows players to shoot the enemy where he was a moment ago, where they see the enemy, the idling weapon was affected by this as well. It wasn't random, but trailed behind the path the sight takes.
As the sight moves in its hypotrochoid pattern, the lagged anti-lag sight would fall behind, sending the hitscan where the sight used to be aiming a moment ago.
The problem no longer exists. Only by doing retarded things would the hitscan fall behind the idling sight again.

On release. Whenever Anti-Lag was on, the problem showed itself clearly. Anti-Lag off, a far more severe seperation of two objects ocurred, the player models.
With the patch that forced Anti-Lag on (1.3), it became obvious to everyone that used the M4 and AK (which was / is a lotta people).
After the 1.4 patch solved the problem, things have been swell - World at War has no problem - only groundless complaints exist.

I just found these 2 old videos in YouTube Were these the bugs that exist before it was patched? I've never had that problem since I've first started playing on patch 1.4.

I think it sometimes still excists. When I play around 3 in the morning (so allmost everybody online is across the sea) I often give a solid body shot from the back to somebody with a bolt action on about 5 meters away, and it doesn't count. So I think it still excists but it's allot better.

I was sniping a few days ago with about 500 - 600ms ping against other players in their 50 - 100ms (biggest mistake I've ever did in my gaming history). Harcore match. Hit nothing. Could it be because the latency is so dreadful to the extent that the hitbox is outside the player model?

Likely. It was probably a groundless statement, but I read somewhere that Anti-Lag could compensate for about 300-500 milliseconds.
