Hey, does anyone know the movement modifier? The effect feels very small compared to MW3 Stalker...

You mean it's not 100% movement speed like Stalker? Then this is a useless attachment IMO...

I found that pairing the adj. stock with lightweight made a lot of difference in getting the AR "feel" I was used to from MW3. And normally I hate lightweight.
It's an extra 2 perks, but given a lot of the connectivity issues I've been feeling in BOII, I tend to lose any gunfight where I'm not already looking down the sights at someone mid-sprint.
If the movement speed IS 100% with the adjustable stock, something feels sluggish to me about the way ARs and LMGs handle even with the attachment.
That said, haven't a few of the Ghost tests revealed that walking while ADSing with an AR is fast enough to keep someone off radar?

Treyarch probably nerfed it as well, just not as much, which is why it seems better in MW3.

Even if AS's effect is not like Stalker in MW3 (totally annihilating move penalty while ADS), it's still incredible useful for ARs (as for me, I cannot play without one).

The strategy guide says it gives you full movement speed. But I find it hard to believe because it just doesn't feel like that...

Based on the discussion in another thread, SMG w/AS has 102% movement speed: Stock does give SMGs 102% movement speed while ADS. So you put Lightweight on, aim, and fire as you cruise around a corner perpendicular to the view of an enemy you know/expect to be there. What I've seen in many many lobbies (on xbox) is he will shoot well past your trailing edge and miss, if at all. I have killed plenty who did not react, or just started aiming as they died. In MW3 this effect was present in a weaker form and called "Stalker Juke," and is partly responsible for the effectiveness of Specialist Bonus (the only way in that game to get Lightweight and Stalker both on an SMG). What about AR?

Great, thanks! I know I read this thread somewhere but I put in the wrong link in my "collection" post. It is now corrected.

SMGs: 100% SMGs when ADS: 80%[/b] (Adjustable Stock: 102%) Shotguns: 100% Shotguns when ADS: 80% (Adjustable Stock: 88%) [/quote] Shirley, or the black woman, is vonderhaar. Instead of talking about brett ratner, vahn is talking about how balanced this doo-doo is.

So adjustable stock SMGs move faster when ADSed?

I'm confused.... don't you mean supressor keeps you off the radar?

If the enemy has a UAV up and you have Ghost equipped:
AR with no Stock: you show up on their radar because you aren't moving enough AR with Stock: you do not show up because you move fast

What he's trying to say is with GHOST, your character speed is what determines whether or not you're off the radar, correct? With adjustable stock, you move fast enough while aiming down sight to stay hidden with ghost. Whereas if you didn't have stock, and was moving at 40% speed, you'll be slow enough for ghost's ability to stop working and you'll show up on the radar.
Edit:
got there before me.

Now I'm really confused....
it was my (albeit noobish limited) understanding that ghost kept you off the radar, regardless of movement speed or weapon attachment.
So, is ghost even worth it for me, an LMG user, who doesn't move very fast?

You must essentially be moving at full walking speed for ghost to hide you from UAVs. So ADS, stopping for cover, bumping into the clutter they insist on filling the maps with, anything like that will make you appear. LMG is better suited to probably flak jacket and hold down a sightline which it probably more what you are doing.

lmgs with adjustable stock will keep you off-radar. and it only shows you on radar when you're not moving for more than two/three seconds
if you crouch walk with an lmg, you will be shown on the radar however.

Guys, before getting overboard on how useless ghost is, make sure that you understand that Ghost perk will make you "ghost" during the following scenarios:
1) Sprint with any weapon; 2) Walk without ADS at full speed with any weapon; 3) ADS walk with SMG/Shotty/Pistol with or without Stock; 4) ADS walk with AR/LMG with stock; 5) (EDIT): when using a player controlled scorestreak reward;
All other cases: ghost does not protect you.
Essentially you have 3 options when you hear the "incoming enemy UAV" announcement:
1) Start moving no slower than specified above; or 2) Take out the UAV with FHJ / SMAW / Hunter Killer / Blackhat PDA; or 3) Stay put, make sure your flanks are covered by teammates or equipments, and wait for enemy to walk into your cross hair (ideally enhanced with Target Finder)

you actually have a 4th option Witty and it is one that I have been using alot recently. I abuse the low kills required to get an RC car (mixed with hardline and other low streaks to make the streaks an extension of the class).
If you need to stay hidden for whatever reason (be it end of round SnD or HQ defense) you can pull out your RC car controller and ghost will protect you for the duration while you remain completely still.
It is a dirty trick and it works.
P.S. you could do this with almost any other controlled killstreak, but the RC costs the least and therefore becomes the most feasible "cloaking on/off switch." Another viable option is to get the lightning strike and use it then cancel using it as the on/off switch. The downside is that every time after the first time you use it, the red dots stop appearing.

It also reminded me the 5th condition in which Ghost will make you "ghost": when using a scorestreak reward. Added to the post above.

He has nowhere to move. He ran, risking a lot, to be exactly where he is NOW. 2) I was killed countless times while doing so on those small maps, many times it lasts 2-5 sec before I find UAV, then 3 sec to lock-on, shoot and swap weapon… = a sniper must be a 5-8 sec. lasting sprint away from enemies… BlackHat? Sniper's equipment should be specialized for covering his position, not AA defense. 3) Using a SR to kill a guy who runs with SMG+laser sight? Even with MW2/MW3 fast QS it would offer a 5% success ratio… ================== Snipers should be covered by Ghost even when not moving at all. The same should be applied to LMGs, enough: they cannot have silencers…. Brainless devs can patch that finally, but I won't be playing BO2 since months then.
