The XM-25 is completely new to the Call of Duty series. And because of this, I hardly see it being used on the battlefield. After some close scrutiny, I came up with 3 features of the XM-25 that you probably don't know about.
If you don't have time to watch the video, the three secrets are:
3) Using the XM-25 in a Designated Marksman Role
2) Using the XM-25 In Airburst Mode
1) Rapid Fire Airburst At Close Range

I didn't know you could choose the projectile's detonation distance, that's pretty cool... It could be a replacement for shotguns, if you choose a close detonation range. Def gotta try this

Wow, that's a great spreadsheet- good job. Most people wouldn't take the time to do that.

How do you set the range on PC? Do you use the weapon attachment key (for Hybrid Sights, Masterkey etc.)? Awesome video, by the way . I might decide to subscribe after all.

I love my shotgun, it is the perfect secondary to something such as a RSASS

I love my shotgun, it is the perfect secondary to something such as a RSASS except it's not a secondary without overkill, using up one of the best perk slots in the game with a sub par perk... Plus shotguns are getting a nerf so....

While I knew about setting the airburst range, it never occurred to me to set it at the minimum distance. Will have to try that out.

I wondered why sometimes the shots started exploding like there was an invisible wall in front of me. Thought it was a bug.

The best bit not mentioned: the XM25, unlike all the other launchers, is replenished by Scavenger.

I'm a long time lurker, but I had to register to say that I love your videos. The Javelin and and XM25 vids were unique and I appreciated them. Keep up the good work.

Huh... did they change something? It has been a patch or two ago, but it replenished when I first started using it.

Btw: Kills with XM25 do not count towards „kill X enemies with launcher” challanges.

I've messed around with this gun in actual gameplay. The XM is fun, but the targeting/aiming sight on it is slow. When you couple it the weaknesses of the projectiles, their blast radius.......it's pretty much only a novelty weapon. To be used in maybe some highly specialized circumstances. Even the 'air-burst' mode, played up in the video, that's a bit ridiculous. By the time you line up that gun to do that trick....you would be better served just keeping your primary out and waiting.
All in all, kind of fun to mess around with it, it's unique, different...., but don't expect any true gameplay advantage with it. It's a disadvantage, even in the circumstances described in the video (such as using it as a sniper rifle)

The XM25 is great for earning Recon Pro: you can play as normal, treating the XM25 as a "gun", but still get your tags.
