If I got to suggest a buff for any one gun - heck, any item - in the game, it'd have to be either the SWAT or the Executioner. Or Hard-Wired, of course. Or Flashbangs...

ties whats the tactical advantage of having a high explosive fly back at you? Use it to boomerang around corners or throw it up high and it will come back down on an angle to get guys on the other side of a wall... IDK...getting creative here.

Nerfs, alright, saw that. But buffs? Really? What in the world could they possibly be buffing? Aside from shotguns, which are obviously out. Oh, I got it. Trophies are going to be so OP after the next patch. Hopefully the SMR, Ballista, and Five Seven / Tac 45 [Or else nerfs to the KAP40, B23R] You've gotta be kidding. Nerf B23R and buff Tac-45?..I do agree with 5.7 (though it's arguable and it will be never done) and KAP-40 (though I haven't met anyone so far acting with this OP gun like me. Maybe it's just because of my experience with MW3's G18?..), but "buff Tac-45" or "nerf B23R"…it's like saying "Nerf R870 MCS and KSG" on this board.

clown, what asasa was getting at is that there is immense imbalance inside of the pistol class: the Raffica and the KAP shit all over every gun in that class so either the other guns should be buffed or they nerfed. Why the fu ck are the only people who never scale down the images the same people who have gigantic fu cking moniters? I halve my resolution (using Aero Snap) to see if the image still fits before I post images. Got a 27'' 2560x1440. Need a 30'' 2560x1600.

6 Dec 2012 – PS3 Game Update (1.04) Notes: New Features & Feature Improvements
Added support for posting Live Stream URLs to Twitter. Improved audio/rumble responsiveness when hitting enemies with gunfire. Improved overall communication of Double XP when enabled. AAR better communicates how much XP was earned in each match. Added the ability to "View League Teams" from any player's Playercard. Added the ability to “View Playercard” from League solo leaderboards. Added a number of security system enhancements.
Issues Addressed
Fixed a rare hang (“Awaiting Textures”) upon loading into maps when joining a session in progress after fresh boot. Game now resets the Care Package for a non-owner if the owner re-rolls the package using the Engineer perk. Players with Black Hat PDA can no longer hack a Care Package faster than the owner can capture it. Addressed an exploit where modified console hackers could maliciously spread infected films to other users. Added a fail-safe to prevent spawn trapping in CTF. Increased sight checks on turrets to improve spawning algorithms. Fixed a number of new UI error messages reported by users. Addressed a number of issues that would cause friendly/enemy color indicators on equipment and scorestreaks to display as the wrong team. Improved overall Theater and Live Streaming stability. Improved film rendering stability and made progression bar more accurate while rendering a film. Addressed issues which prevented some master challenges from being completed. Precision challenge “Wet Work” will now unlock with 10 kills. The wins challenge will now account for all FFA modes when ending a match with a tie (if you are in the top 3). Players that help with the “Synchronized Attack” challenge now get credit for it. Players will not be able to manually take control of their AGR if they die at the exact moment that their AGR deploys. Emblem Editor no longer closes the current emblem when discarding changes. Players using Ghost will no longer be invisible at all times in Custom Games with the mini-map option set to “constant”. Players using Ghost and a Suppressor attachment will no longer appear on the enemy’s minimap while shooting and moving while a UAV is up. The median for the K/D graph in the AAR is set to 1.0 instead of 0.0. Players can no longer get on top of the shrubs in Nuketown 2025. Thermal vision overlay no longer appears using the VTOL glitch. Kills from the explosion on the explosive crossbow bolt now count towards challenges. Counter UAV no longer remains for the rest of the game after a host migration. Clan tag is no longer locked immediately after prestige. Offline profiles can no longer be exploited to join online games when an online profile is also signed in. Multi-team games no longer count as a tie if an entire team quits. Fixed an area in Express where K9 Unit dogs could get stuck. EMP grenades no longer affect the CODcaster HUD. Party Privacy count no longer affects how many bots will spawn in Combat Training. Shadows seen through sniper scopes now render more correctly. Players can no longer stand on invisible collision in Carrier. “Drop Shot” medal is no longer awarded after standing back up. Players can now copy a custom class to the extra prestige slot.
Gameplay Balancing
The following is a list of numerous gameplay balancing tweaks that were made after thorough review of statistical data from usage patterns of weapons, equipment, perks and scorestreaks since launch. Scorestreaks:
UAV: cost increased from 350 to 425. Lightning Strike: added 750ms delay
Equipment/grenades:
Bouncing Betty: increased the grace period between trigger and activation by 200ms. Sensor Grenade: increased the range (now 1000 units), frequency (now 800ms between pings), and amount of time (now 6s) that players appear after explosion. Concussion Grenade: decreased movement penalty and turn speed penalty when hit.
SMGs:
All: increased hip fire recoil. All: increased max hip fire spread from 4.75 to 5. All: reduced bullet penetration. MSMC: increased recoil slightly. PDW-57: increased recoil slightly.
Assault rifles:
All: reduced idle sway for more reliable long-range aiming. XM8: reduced lethal range of 3-hit kills from 250 to 50 inches. XM8 + Select Fire: increased recoil. FAL OSW + Select Fire: increased recoil. SWAT-556 + Select Fire: increased recoil. MTAR: Made auto aim values consistent with all other assault rifles.
Sniper Rifles:
All: increased hip fire spread. All + Laser Sight: increased hip fire spread. XPR-50: increased recoil slightly.
Shotguns:
R870: reduced one-hit kill range by 45 inches.
Pistols
B23R: reduced headshot multiplier from 1.4 to 1. KAP-40: reduced headshot multiplier from 1.4 to 1

Except for the R870 this update seems pretty good, but the community won't stop until shotguns are good and worthless. So excuse my pessimism.

As a religious SMG user, this patch is awesome IMO ... I agree with almost every balance change they made. Except for the R870 range nerf, and SF SWAT recoil boost, not sure why they did that when SF sucks on it as is. A question for you guys, does anyone know what they mean by this?

Does this mean Suppressors did nothing when a UAV was up?

When UAV is up, people can see shots from suppressors. This fixed this mechanic applying to ghost.

The only game where shotties were remotely balanced was mw2 and they were freaking secondaries then. If people haven't realized by now that's noy changing, well tough titties. Yup. There's no place for genuinely balanced shotguns in CoD thanks to all AR and SMG babbies. The most we can hope for is competitive shotguns. Looking at this list, while it's all good by man, I don't believe for a second these changes were motivated by actual statistical data. I'm sure snipers were killing people left and right with their too-tiny hip fire. xfd Also, the nerf to the M8A1 seems overboard but I don't use the gun enough to offer more comment.

Nah man really. Sh it ai. Every weapon and dungeon are basically the same. Leveling and choosing abilities Is a pain in the tits. Every fight goes exactly the same, with higher difficulties just taking longer. The only thing it had going for it was immersing people In the world, which didn't happen for me because all the voice acting and animations are complete trash. Well regardless of the fact that you didnt like it, there's a reason it was game of the year. And you cant deny its better than garbage like world or warcraft. At least it was open world instead of other on-rails theme park rpgs.

I can't believe they nerfed the effing 870... wtf? The other gun balance sound pretty good though, nerf the SMG's and a slight buff to AR's. Plus the select fire nerf is a step in the right direction.

I actually really like this patch, but I think the changes are all a bit extreme.
For example, betties +100ms delay would reduce lethality immensely. 200ms makes it almost useless.
Lightning strike did need a nerf, but 750ms might be a bit much.
UAV was a bit iffy, but +75pts is too much. +50 would have been enough.
ARs idle sway didnt need a reduction, was already nearly non-existant. But either way, I like the patch.
870 nerf is a bit surprising, but IDC.

That's why it's there. 200 ms is nothing if you're using the betty as a trap like Treyarch intended. I also have a 27" 2560x1440 - perhaps the same as yours, one of the $300 imported Korean ones. I got a Catleap, as you suspect you do.

the AR's needed the sway reduction, they were like slow moving slow shooting slow ttk SMG's. Now maybe we can use them a little better on the two or three long site lines...
