So, is there any incentive of using normal RDS or ACOG over this thing? Does hybrid sight have more penalties or something?

I believe the hybrid sight has a slower ADS time than the base Reflex.

The hybrid has the penalty that it occupies a button, disallowing it to go together with things like the grenade launcher, or at least it did so in MW3. MW3 one still sucked though, thanks to the big ads time.

Nope. In mw3 you hit sprint while ads to switch I believe you meant Blops 2

I think RDS and ACOG remove sway, while the hybrid still keeps some of the sway

Nope. In mw3 you hit sprint while ads to switch Which is retarded on PC when you are usually toggling ADS and sprinting makes you put your gun down.

so the hybrid sight has no disadvantage? well, it's slightly more obstructive, it doesn't give you the sway elimination that the ACOG and Target Finder do, and it's mutually exclusive with other attachments (cannot be combined with select fire or grenade launcher) Just thinking about what I'd be able to do with a M8A1 w/ Select Fire and Hybrid Optic combined...

it's mutually exclusive with other attachments (cannot be combined with select fire or grenade launcher) You sure? It uses a different bind in BO2.

Even though they use different keys/buttons, Treyarch still had to poop on the parade and smack down the fun I wanted to have with M8A1 Select Fire + Hybrid Optic. I honestly don't see that as being a problem but I guess it is an effective nerf to the Hybrid Sight itself so it doesn't dominate all other optics. You are only allowed 1 "switchable" attachment at a time.
