It's unfortunate math.
The fire time is 0.036 s. At 60 FPS, a frame is 0.017 s (1/60). Two frames thus takes 0.033 s...right before the weapon fires again. Consequently, the gun can only fire every three frames and is thus slowed down by about 33%...which was the benefit of RF.
This is assuming that 0.036 is the actual fire time. Because it's such an odd number (it's not achievable at any practical frame rate limit), I'm very curious as to how marvel calculated it so don't jump the gun until he can verify it.

In my short little private match with the Chicom, RF definitely increased the firerate. The recoil was incredible.

With fluctuating frame rate, you can actuate some of the fire rate increase (it's fully realized at 55 FPS, but any FPS between 41-55 will also show an increase).
However, were you sure the fire rate itself was actually higher? RF does explicitly reduce centerspeed.

Based off of the sound, yes. I didnt do any actual measurements though.

When putting SF on Chicom, it will only slow down the fire rate for full auto mode, right? For burst fire mode it is the same as w/o SF?
I have been using Chicom and enjoy it because personally I found it very fun to use. I am thinking about putting SF on it and alternate between the two firing modes for different encounters (especially if on XBox RF would not make a difference as mega speculated above).

The strategy guide says the Chicom CQB with Rapid Fire fires at 1666 RPM, but they probably changed that before release and now it fires at almost 1900 RPM like the Skorpion EVO with Rapid Fire.

Vector K10 is the baws.
I personally think it's teh bests!...very accurate to compete in midrange, fast rof to compete in cqc and looks sexy as eff!
ideally it's meant to be the mid-tier with the mp7 of smgs, not as fast firing as the skorpian and less damage over range than the pdw/msmc but with the mp7 recoil/viewkick the vector has a little edge in the 'range' department with its accuracy.

i tried vector with sf and grip yesterday its a short range laser. Virtually no recoil.

i tried vector with sf and grip yesterday its a short range laser. Virtually no recoil. Sounds intriguing. Have you compared it with Chicom w/Grip? Chicom w/RF+Grip? At least for me I need suppressor for "laser" weapon, or sight if the weapon is suitable for longer engagement. That means that I would have to spend 5 points on Vector, which is a bit cost prohibitive.

I think the chicom would be better as a burst smg simply because thats how it was made but the vector is fun too but more of a "try something weird" class.

Refresh this topic with a cross post from the sight thread: 2/3 of the way through EOTech master run, thoughts: 1) EOTech is cool :-). I like it on both SMGs and ARs. 2) EOTech challenge run can give you some easy XPs. For 125 ADS kills, you'll be rewarded with 15,000 XPs. So even if you don't like it, at least use it for a few games to get the cheap points. 3) Last night I think that I found my weapon to be semi-permanently married to EOTech: Chicom. By putting EOTech on Chicom, it feels like a lightweight AR. I would certainly prefer it than SWAT, and maybe even M8A1. It does not have burst delay, so you can spam the trigger as fast as possible and achieve the illusion of "almost" automatic with 1250RPM. That's insanely fast. I like to run Chicom w/EOTech+LS. For CQC, just hip spray. For mid range, ADS, line up your shots, and spam trigger. For long range, control your bursts to allow time for re-center and aim adjustment. Number of trigger pull rules of thumb: at least twice, recommend >= 3 times just to be safe. Chicom vs. Skorpion: similar CQC strengths, but much more forgiving in terms of mag size. 36 bullets = 12 bursts, enough to kill 3-4 enemies without reload, can stretch to 5 if you are really good or lucky. With Skorpion (32 bullets at RPM of 1250 with much more recoil) I can barely get 2. Another thing I like about Chicom: ammo management is much easier: one burst = 3 bullets, # of bullets left / 3 = # of bursts left, easy :-) Also keep in mind that any additional damage inflicted on an enemy (e.g. an EMP nade hit) prior is enough to make Chicom a one-burst kill. It is now my 3rd favorite SMG behind PDW and MSMC. By extension, I am also pondering Vector w/SF + ..., which also has 1250RPM in burst mode, and hopefully better recoil.
