Yeah Aucheni Zombie chow is a decent combo. Mid range priest could be a thing lol, you have removal you have the best 3 drop in the game, and you can stack in chows undertakers, loot hoarders and all of the other value cards priest has.

What do you guys think about Eaglehorn Bow losing its ability to get durability from opponents secrets? You can dust for full creation value until August 7th.

People run secrets? I thought only freeze mage ran any. All the paladin secrets suck. Besides the mirror match of course.

So, here's the deal. Eaglehorn bow blows out any sort of upcoming secret strategy that the devs wanted to see occur because of mad scientist. note that playing mad scientist is a stronger opening than playing a secret initially. The pros are agreeing that aggro paladin will be running 2 copies of the latest secret in its shell. With 2 creatures out, this thing is almost impossible to deal with in one turn, early on.
I totes recommend watching the latest valuetown very enlightening.

smart guy. If I was into self-promotion for monetary gain I'd prolly have tried to game Reddit's caustic system as well.
Oh, he apologized didn't he?

He literally made 40 alts to upvote himself for exposure. That explains why someone so uninteresting constantly appeared on the subreddit. He didn't even stop after gaining a following either. He still upvoted himself until he finally got banned.
You can argue it's a smart thing to do, but that doesn't mean I'll continue to support him.

yeah I know what he did. I'm just saying people over-reacted. Someone's legitimate popularity (or lack thereof) shouldn't dictate their watch-ability. If you have a moral beef with his actions it, then sure.
Still won't find another place where trump will have actual opinions. The last episode was especially good with Reynad + trump talking about each of the Nax cards.

Reddit hivemind thrives on drama. I wouldn't pay much attention to it.
Case in point: Reynad. He's been banned from Magic for cheating in a arena type tournament, and I know because when ever I see a post of his on reddit there's someone who brings it up. WHO GIVES A FUCK BECAUSE I DON'T. Reddit's like a dog with a bone. A retarded one.

He also organises a show that is informative and has good guests on it. If you want to know more about the hearthstone meta watch a valuetown. The show has value (hue).

Webspinner is so good. Trades with the owl, eats up hero powers, can get many valuable valuable minions. With all the beasts hunter have gotten too from naxx, it's looking solid and not cheap.

It was also a smart balance decision to not make spectral spiders beasts (for buzzard combo). Webspinner definitely added some much needed fun to Hunter. I saw one streamer get nailed by a King Krush from NPC webspinner. Imagine that sort of play in high level constructed!

I finally tied my initial lucky streak with trumps f2p mage when I first started. I CAN TASTE LEGEND LARGE IMAGES INCOMING Here is the deck I am using... I realized due to something Aphor said to me with my old priest deck with strangles and enforcers. "Your control matchup must suck." It hit me that I hadn't seen control in a while on ladder. Handlock is scarce. Thus, I commited to going full-on anti zoo. Meet Zoo priest. I decided not to go with Cabal priest even though I could, because he ends up dropping too late to be of use. Shadow madness is where it is at. Early enough to steal an enemy nerubian and break their back by ramming it into the enemy with an argent squire or killing it with pyro. Argent also has synergy with SWD in aggro matchups. With an empty board I can buff their minion and klill it with SWD. I only run 1 circle, because drawing 2 with no soul priest is a death sentence against zoo. Soul priest functions just fine in that matchup without circle and is often better to keep above 1HP anyways.

Remember to save up 700 gold for the new priest minion. God that's good. I believe Reynad said priest will become 28 cards and cultists.

Yeah I remember him saying that lol... I purchased the whole expansion already. Funny considering I haven't yet spent any cash on packs or arena. I'm probably removing harvest for him at least initially...
The interesting thing about cultist is he demands a minion heavy deck for the highest gain...which is something priest doesn't normally do. If you ignore the deathrattle it is possible he will still be good in priest control since 3/4 is fantastic.
The consideration for a minion heavy version could be something like this
1 drops: Zombie chow(DR and synergy with soul priest)/Undertaker(buffed by DR)/Norshire/Power Word Shield 2 drops: Nerubian Egg(DR)/Haunted Creeper(DR)/Loot Hoarder(DR)/ Maybe Pyro 3 drops: Harvest Golem(DR)/Dark Cultist(DR)/Earthen(DR)/PW Death 4 drops: Soul Priest/Dark Iron Dwarf/Maybe Yeti
idk. Ideally you want max overall synergy, minimum combo reliance for this kind of deck. You still probably want the norshire circle draw engine though.

Wonder if you guys have any suggestions for a newb like me. Keep in mind, I don't really play much, especially vs other players. (Really pretty glad they added single player as the practice matches were getting boring.) I will play other players some more, but probably not until I level up my classes more fully as I still don't have all the cards you unlock.
I'm not looking for detailed advice. I'm not that much of a tryhard with this game. Don't have the time. Hell I mostly put my decks together just by going through the suggest a card thing. ;3 But then I don't have enough cards yet to come up with a coherent deck strategy, nor the card knowledge to put it together. That's why I use the suggest a card thing... it's easier than laboriously going through every single card I own and trying to pick what to use. Clearly I need a better plan for that and I guess something like what I used to do for MtG will probably do. Namely, I'll have to decide on some basic quotas for spells vs minions, and then manage the frequency per cost so I'm not too heavy on high or low cost cards. But I really don't know what sort of balance I should be shooting for. I guess I could read up on deck building, and eventually I will.
But a few basic tips would be cool.
I really really wish they had added co-op as well, like the two headed beast games in MtG or something. My GF likes Hearthstone and I would love to play it with her more, but we don't like playing against each other very much and she doesn't like playing against real people in general.

I'll point you in the right direction and give you a decklist to grind out some dust with. Sound good?
So the best deck to learn the game right now is zoolock. The reason? It is a low cost deck that relies heavily on minion interactions, which is the key to getting good at Hearthstone. It teaches the important skill of minion placement which is distinct from mtg (where creature placement doesn't matter). In addition it has no specific counters (atm) and is good against a wide variety of decks. It also loses or wins very fast and that makes it good for laddering and learning (fail faster). Pros recommend it for new players.
Zoolock also teaches you that balance (as in spell/minion ratio) is not actually a thing. Zoo runs a total of 2-3 spells. Conversely a deck like freeze mage generally runs around 6 minions with the rest being burn and defensive spells. The first thing to note is that zoo is not an aggro deck even though you have almost nothing but tiny minions and a deck full of them. It is a control deck. If given the option to go for the face or the board clear, the best option is usually to board clear. You are taking advantage of the fact that the warlock can draw 2 cards every turn, while other decks cannot.
A normal game with zoolock goes like this: Turn 1-4 use up your hand. Turn 5 perhaps drop doomguard. Turn 5-10+ draw and play 2 cards per turn. Having no hand is a good thing. Think of your life as a resource in addition to it being a loss condition.
Next to each card I'll give a little description and the rarity/dust you will need to spend to get each card.
Zoolock (Warlock)
Zero Drops 2x Soulfire: This is the bread and butter of warlock. This is definitely a noob trap. "But I don't wanna discard my cards." Discarding cards is fine. You will just draw more. This spell free and 4 damage is insanely good. Use to board clear to make sure you have stuff on the field and they don't.
One Drops 2x Argent Squire (40 dust each): Receives buffs very well. Basically there so you don't lose your one drop to any of the one damage hero powers (mage/druid/rouge) when going second. 2x Abusive Sargent (40 dust each): Gives buffs. Lets you trade easily. Enables Nerubian Egg. Consider this a 2 drop. It is wasteful to play on turn 1. 2x Flame Imp (free): Huge power for a 1 drop. A zoo signature. You are looking to trade with 2 drops and 3 drops with this guy. 1x Elven Archer (free): A body that does 1 damage. Very rarely drops on turn 1. Usually assists another minion in trading or takes out a 2/1. Can replace for mortal coil (free). 2x Voidcaller (free): More warlock bread and butter. Guard your big guys with void. Very annoying for opponents even if you can't tell from your side.
Two Drops
2x Dire Wolf Alpha (40 dust each): Skill Test #1. Learning minion placement. Placing Direwolf between minions and trading them off is key to the deck. When one of the minions gets traded away, the next one in line gets the buff. This stuff is hard when you first use the deck. 2x Haunted Creeper (Naxramas Wing 1): Clogs up the board. Very annoying minion to deal with. Usually after you play this you will have something to buff the next turn. 2x Knife Juggler (100 dust each): Another key card. Can't have zoo without knife juggler. Seems lucky at first, but very skill based once you get deep. A minion to protect. 2x Nerubian Egg (Naxramas Wing 1): A new key card. Best buff and taunt recipient in the game. Anti-board clear. Very amazing.
Three Drops 2x Harvest Golem (40 dust each): A "value" minion. You get alot for a little with harvest. Receives buffs well and something will probably be on the field to buff the turn after you play it. 2x Shattered Sun Cleric (free): Buff stuff.
Four Drops 1x Hellfire (free): A metagame pick. Lots of zoo running around. Hellfire kills other zoos. Yay. 2x Dark Iron Dwarf (40 dust each): Buff stuff. Big body that receives buffs well. 2x Defender of Argus (100 dust each): Skill Test #2. The best buffer. Also gives taunt. Minion placement is super important for the taunt giving part.
Five Drops 2x Doomguard (100 dust each): Skill Test #3. Don't panic. Doomguard is your teeth. The downside isn't too bad. Doomguard IS the main reason you want to use your whole hand by turn 5. Doomguard is probably going to discard is anyway.
Have fun.

Keep in mind that deck could be quickly outdated as the next two wings unlock. There is suspicion that the new two drop, Deathlord, and some of the new one drops, Zombie Chow and maybe Undertaker, could become staple Zoo cards. There's even potential for Dancing Swords or Voidcaller to be used.
The fundamental cards of Zoo are Soulfire and Doomguard. They are extremely underpriced cards with the downside of discarding a random card or two from your hand. This would normally suck, but your hand size is constantly small with how low cost the rest of your deck is, and your hero power assures you can play 2 cards each turn as the game goes on. If you want to play the deck, the first card you must craft is Doomguard assuming you lack them. There are substitutes for everything else.

Well I fucking hate myself... I gimped all my other classes to get enough dust to make maybe 2/3 of this and wound up accidentally destroying the two argent squires and abusive sargents as well, so what a massive fecking waste...
I don't know if I'm cut out for this game. Seems like a major grind. I barely have any cards to craft with and I'm already pretty much sick to death of the practice games. Maybe the Naxx stuff will be fun. I love how the game plays, but it's just feeling like work rather than play to get anything worth even 1/2 a damn.

You could always buy into all of naxx for 20 dollars (best price to gold ratio), or buy 40 packs (second best price ratio). 40 packs will get you 200 cards to easily finish a deck.

Had some fun with it. Even though I still don't have this full deck. I can level up some other classes to get more cards to burn and finish it out pretty soon I think. (And finish leveling up Warlock for it's free cards as well.)
Once I do finally get the deck what kind of thing should I aim for and what should I dust?
