In theory, the Whirlwind is better on PC, but only when sighted.

Just got the Inferno (yayayayayayayayayayayayay). Laser Sight to capitalize on dem gainz or Quickdraw to make up for what's lacking? Are hipspread values diameters or radii?
Oh I also just got the Rail Driver and the Xeno. Which is better?

Quickdraw. Xeno because the extra multiplier the rail driver has does virtually nothing

I have an idea of what I'm gonna use on the Inferno when/if I ever get it. Laser Sight, Stock, and Extended Mags. I think the Laser Sight and Stock should more than make up for the lack of Quickdraw.

I got it at the end of a Prestige, so now that I got to start with it I have Tracking Rounds, Hybrid Sight, Grenade Launcher and Quickdraw. I still do not have the Foregrip.

Stock for the Inferno. Just ADS if you know the enemy is near. I seriously don't understand the fetish with quick draw.
Laser and Gungho is beast, but I find the default hip spread is more than sufficient.

Laser and Gungho is beast, but I find the default hip spread is more than sufficient. I'm actually running it with Quickdraw, Stock and Laser. For Hardcore, where Quickdraw isn't optional. Other than some Goliath setups it is probably the strongest rushing weapon in the game for HC, and maxing out its reactivity/mobility feels amazing. Extended Mags or Foregrip would be nice, but I barely ever miss them. Now that I have the Obsidian Steed and the Speakeasy I've started playing Core. I run the Obsidian Steed with Stock, Grip and Suppressor. I can see why Quickdraw isn't as big a deal in Core, although if I could run four attachments it would probably be my next addition. I just got the Upper Cut. Any reason to hold on to the Roundhouse?

Roundhouse is quite nice just because of that range boost. I had the Breacher for a while, which is pretty much a the Upper Cut without the better hipfire, but I went back to the Round House. I found it much more consistent. Anyway, it's up to you if an extra pellet and better hipfire is more worth it than the pretty good range increase (more so with Advanced Rifling).

Yeah that's pretty huge actually. I do most of my TACking in Hardcore where the Upper Cut is a godsend, but I'll definitely hold onto the Round House for Core. I just got the Compliant. Is it the best S12 in the game?

Compliant gives you the best best bang for your buck per ammo. It's basically the base s12 but with a single frame extra of sprintout time in exchange for 3 more rounds when using ext mags. It's got better hipfire spread than the whirlwind and tiger blood and the 600 rpm is much more controllable.

Squeaker vs Toxic for Laser Sight + ExMags spray class?
Magnitude vs Speakeasy for Grip + Rifling sweaty tryhard SnD rush class? The Magnitude is significantly better from 625 to 718.75 and from 1300 to 1760. The Speakeasy is significantly better from 0 to 625 and 719 to 1300. Does it just depend on the map's sight lines or is one generally superior?

Squeaker due to frame rounding and the Speakeasy is better for most engagements
Edit: Ameli Heavy w/ quickdraw, rapid-fire, and grip vs the Chicanery w/ advanced rifling (smh), quickdraw, and extended mags. I'm leaning toward the chicanery due to slightly less recoil.

The Roundhouse is only better for a small range in the middle of the overall range: the Breacher is better before and after that range. I prefer the Breacher over the Uppercut because you can just ADS to reduce spread.

I prefer the Breacher over the Uppercut because you can just ADS to reduce spread. The mobility hit to the Upper Cut is insanely small, and tighter hip spread is great for those times when you fire before you finish ADSing, especially when stacked with Laser. Also your interpretation of those range stats is pretty misguided IMO. The Round House is a good gun out to 431.25, the Upper Cut is a good gun out to 318.75. The Upper Cut's extra pellet isn't enough to make it not suck outside of its max damage range. It's just over a 35% range boost or a 26% range loss going from one to the other. The Upper Cut is only slightly better from 0 to 318, but from 319 to 431 the Round House demolishes the Upper Cut. Squeaker due to frame rounding and the Speakeasy is better for most engagements Edit: Ameli Heavy w/ quickdraw, rapid-fire, and grip vs the Chicanery w/ advanced rifling (smh), quickdraw, and extended mags. I'm leaning toward the chicanery due to slightly less recoil. I would just barely take the Chicanery unless you want the extra ammo and mag size in which case the Heavy has a significant advantage. And I know you won't really hip fire with either class but a Heavy with Rapid Fire is just unsettling.

I just got the Compliant. Is it the best S12 in the game? Not sure if it's the absolute best, but I like it as well as the Vengeance. Compliant is better because it doesn't waste an attachment slot on the Grip. This coming from someone who has never used/gotten either Elite S12. Tac-19 Sledgehammer is also usable but the Tac-19/Bulldog still need buffs.

HBRa3 Competition vs AK-12 Bleeder with Quickdraw, Stock and Suppressor for my Hardcore stable guy who doesn't draw too much attention class (which I will be doing nothing but jetpack rushing with).

bleeder because of recoil I'm actually gonna go with the HBR Sport. The slight range penalty compared to the Bleeder is worth the initial fire rate boost and better iron sights.... I love the HBR's iron sights and don't really like the AK's iron sights. I've definitely lost my mind.

MP11 Goliath with Foregrip, Quickdraw and _______ (Rifling or Red Dot)
Rifling only makes a difference from 850 to 1062.5, but that's the difference between pretty solid range and kinda excellent range.

I would go with adv. rifling unless you really can't use the MP11's iron sights. I think they're good enough though

I don't have the Propipe, but I think I'd probably use rapid fire, I feel like SMGs aim fast enough already. I'm just thinking the downsides on RF might not be worth it. Also maybe RDS isn't the best option, I think the AMR9's sights are alright. I use the Hipshot + Outlaw with ext. mags and adv. rifling and it works pretty well, but ext. mags could be replaced with something else that affects the stats more

Definitely forgoing Rifling, I feel powerless trying to use the iron sights for anything other than really easy kills. I'm doing really well with both Quickdraw and Rapid Fire, guess I'll just go back and forth and decide by the time Black Ops 3 comes out.

Literally, the biggest problem the AMR9 has now is that Rapid Fire was nerfed and it's no longer worth putting on there because of the multitude of downsides. "Oh you want a higher Fire Rate? No problem, you'll just have to get used to worse hipfire, more recoil, and less range." Where did this sudden hate of Rapid Fire come from? Either it has no downsides but the effect is minuscule or the effect is good but it has a bunch of shitty downsides. You end up effectively nerfing your weapon by putting Rapid Fire on (unless you're using a Rigor, where it barely affects its performance).

You end up effectively nerfing your weapon by putting Rapid Fire on (unless you're using a Rigor, where it barely affects its performance). I wouldn't call rapid fire useless in AW. It's not like BO2 where the hipfire, range and kick penalties are all drastic. 15% less range, 20% more kick, and 20% bigger hipfire are all easily manageable penalties. I find rapid fire very useful for the LMGs, the AMR9 (especially the propipe), the sn6 (makes the gun actually usable), the asm1, and the kf5. Rapid fire needs to have some penalties because otherwise it becomes "double tap the attachment" and thus everyone would use it on their LMGs and SMGs. It just doesn't need to have penalties as god awful as they were in BO2. -50% range completely nullifies any fire rate benefits.

Even in BO2 it was more useful, because the fire rate increases were insane depending on the weapon (66% for SMGs). I mean, anything outside of CQC is a lost cause, but still. But a 25% increase isn't worth all the other shit. Just go back to how MW2 did it ffs.

How was rapid fire useful on smgs when it decreased your range and increased hipfire and kick so much that smgs quickly dropped off to minimum damage, had ar+ size hipfire, and made it impossible to shoot past close range?
Even on LMGs it was a mess. perhaps the only gun it was good on was the mk48.
