Good question. I think the new monarchy one has high impact. But clearly, that's the trait to search for. PvP is suffering the effect of maxed out legendary upgrades. I need one too.

For shotguns I usually look for ones with high range. And the ones that have the "hand loaded" upgrade which gives you better range.
And from there I prefer full auto/better spread when ads bonuses.

I got a Venation III Hand Cannon from the nightfall last night. I've never heard of it. Looks to be a Dead Orbit gun. The Range is less that an AR?? I didn't have chance to try it as we didn't finish until late. I'll report back later - anyone else have one?

I put it down when I unlocked the Lord High Fixer, a Legendary Hand Cannon with 11 rounds, which I liked slightly better.

Is the Pocket Infinity still good? I managed to get another chance claiming the bounty so I chose it ahead of the Bad Juju and the Super Good Advice. I have a faur amount of machine guns and I would rather use a scout rifle instead of a pulse rifle. I got quite q few legendaries and exotics over the last few days so I guess I shouldn't be too annoyed if the Pocket Infinity isn't a monster.
Speaking of my recent acquisitions, is the Thunderlord good fully upgraded? It is not as economical with ammo as The Swarm but I do not have The Swarm in the build I would like (60 round magazine, arc element). It kicks like a mule!

It does rough 50% of the damage of a sniper with 8 rounds and a much a faster fire rate and less recoil. I haven't really got into hand cannons at all (I'm only talking PvE here) but I can see them becoming my favourite. They encourage headshots. Example - last night, Daily Story Mission on lvl 28 - 46 kills - 39 headshots.

However I found myself stuck with not 1 but 1 one two characters for whatever strange reason. I seem to enjoy that pretty much everything normal is a OSK.

The rare hand cannons I am using at low 20+ levels are great in PvE against enemies at these levels: huge impact, big mag size (10+), crit snipable at long range, and excellent hip fire accuracy at CQC. make them reload faster after kill through either weapon upgrade or subclass ability or armor upgrade, when rolling through minions they indeed feel like "cannons".

The low level hand cannons seem pretty garbage, but they become really fun in PvE once you get past that. I have one now that gets a super fast reload buff after precision kills and it may be my favorite weapon in the game. It's hard not to feel like a badass one hit killing several enemies in a row with headshots then flicking the gun through a super fast reload and being ready to go again. I've been using another one that has 11 rounds in the mag and another upgrade for even more, but it just isn't as fun. ;p

Buff it up with upgrades and abilities, you will have a weapon that is decent at everything: ranged vs. CQC, minions vs. mini bosses, crit precision vs. hip fire, etc.

Anyone have the invective? I just got it from the exotic bounty and even though i haven't unlocked any of its abilities it still has better range and firerate than any shotgun I've used. I feel like this thing would be a monster in pvp

Cool, I'm really excited now.
Do you try to shoot once or twice then finish off with a melee? It goes through its four rounds pretty damn quickly and the reload is fairly slow i feel like ammo management would be its only issue

Got the Grim Citizen III and its first weapon attachment is Third Eye. It feels like a skin of the Shadow Price, perhaps a tad weaker in damage?

I'm just about ready to give up on getting my "Shattered Memory Fragment" bounty, to get the Pocket Infinity.
I need to disassemble ten Fusion rifles to complete part two of this bounty. I already had a few Fusions sitting around after I got the bounty, so I broke them down. All was good. This step seemed like it would be easy, as for the past month I get these Fusion rifles all the time. I was coming across Rare or higher Fusion rifles by the bundles prior to this bounty. Then I get this bounty, and suddenly .....nothing. I have had close to sixty engrams/weapon drops over the past week and not a single one has been a Fusion rifle. Not one. And I need them. I've been told they appear at the Gunsmith, but every time I look, nothing.
I love this game, but sh1t like the above annoy me to no end. Piece of sh1t game designers at Bungie who were sloppy in their original design, and now cover up their mistakes with bvllshit like this to extend gaming time. Not fun.
My only solution is to buy Fusion rifles that always are on sale. These are legendary one's. But they cost 130(?) or so Marks. Yeah, that's real efficient. So I started this process last night and bought the only one for sale. The "LIGHT/Beware". But then I thought....why break it down? It has higher impact than the Pocket Infinity. And I would still need five more. That's a ridiculous price to pay for a stupid gun. Why not just use a legendary Fusion Rifle. Fits better with my other guns, as it doesn't take up a slot.
Is the Light/Beware a good Fusion rifle?
Anyways. Fvck off Bungie. There's no need to code bs like this into the game (making those guns not appear now), all to extend the gaming process. Go try and deliver REAL content rather than this bs.

Just keep checking the gunsmith and you'll be able to purchase them for glimmer.

I think the Light/Beware is pretty good actually. I am buying these for the bounty but I max out on the weekly marks limit every time and I need the Ascendant Energy anyway.

Then played for about 90 min last night, checked three times during that time span. Nothing. Thanks for the tip (i have heard this before), but it's still bvllshit on Bungie's part. Requiring me to live inside of the game, is not a good answer by Bungie. It's still bs on their part. I think Bungie missed this memo.

I have 2 and almost disassembled one. Hawk advised me against it and I am glad I did not (I eventually got the rare rifles from Gunsmith sale), because they are for different damage types: one void and one arc. Of course, Plan-C (arc damage) seems to trump the arc one in almost every department. Still, I am not going to disassemble a perfectly good legendary unless I have a very good reason

My Fusion "Light/Beware" is Solar damage. If you do consider disassemble it, you will be happy to know that it will count as more than 1 (2?) towards the requirement, according to Bluntz.

I originally disassembled two other legendary Fusions, they only counted as one. So I have to assume this will count that way. I suppose the bigger benefit is that it also gives me three Ascendant Energies. Those are always needed.
