It will. Leveling up a legendary weapon without using Energy on it can get you between 3 and 5 energy when broken down, depending on how far leveled it is. Sadly this does not apply for legendary armor.

My Fusion "Light/Beware" is Solar damage. If you do consider disassemble it, you will be happy to know that it will count as more than 1 (2?) towards the requirement, according to Bluntz. Wrong. You will, however, get more Ascendant Energy for a fully leveled rifle though.

Even less reasons to do this dismantling just for getting the Pocket Infinity, which may not be even be that better than Light/Beware anyway.

Even less reasons to do this assembling just for getting the Pocket Infinity, which may not be even be that better than Light/Beware anyway. The 77 Wizard is better than the Pocket Infinity. I only dismantle the Light/Beware rifles because I max out on marks quick enough and then I use them during some public events, since the daily story missions usually give out shards rather than energy. I saved one Light/Beware for the Nightfall step in the bounty. This week's Nightfall would be a pain to get kills with if they are not upgraded because of the terrain of the first darkness zone. The Sepik's Prime one I did for my first Infinity was easy because of the Thralls in the corridor.

Why do you guys think pocket infinity is that bad? It was my first Exotic, and have loved it ever since. Did not use the extended mag upgrade anyway, and itrapes total face in crusible. To bad there is so much good solar damage exotics...

Why do you guys think pocket infinity is that bad? It was pretty good at bosses, though the nerf came before I got hold of one. I usually use sniper rifles as my secondary weapon though.

I don't have one but the Lord high fixer seems to get very good reviews. I bought The Last Word yesterday and was promptly rewarded with a Hawkmoon soon after (from the nightfall.)
Not sure now which to focus on! :/
