IMHO Siege of Warmind trumps almost all other spots, except for Fist of Crota for Blade of Crota related bounties.

The waves of thralls make the following super easy:

1) Precision kills;
2) Fusion Rifle multi kills;
3) Super multi kills;
4) Hive majors (use level 30 option);
5) Eris bounties: like throwing knife, solar/arc ability kills, etc

With the exception of 4), all should be done with the level 26 one. Upon selection from the director, you will spawn right in the hallway, no need to sparrow across the map.

What you should do:

a) get to the Warmind basement;
b) Go through the first area until you kill everything except for the Knight major at the door;
c) Jump off the railing to restart; (if the bounty has a "no death" requirement, go to orbit and then come back;

The "Three Musketeers" might be slightly faster for the hive major bounty, but Warmind is much more fun, plus you can kill multiple birds with one stone.

To reach Eris Rank 4, I have been using the bounty dup trick, Fist of Crota and Siege of Warmind are my best friends . I am now only 150 XP away from rank 4.

A few random notes regarding the DLC:

a) The better title for this content should be DLC, not "expansion pack", as it just does not have enough content to be worthy of that title. Still more than the money's worth for players who enjoy Destiny in general;

b) Based on the reviews I read, the new exotic weapons are pretty under powered. No Land Beyond is probably the worst exotic hands down, The Four Horse Man is a terrible shotty, and Dragon's Breath is under powered compared to Truth, not to mention Gjallarhorn. The precursor of Nechrochasm is pretty bad, we will have to wait until the hard CsE is released to see whether the unique perk (kills = Cursed Thrall like explosions) can make it a top tier (it is supposed to be THE best weapon in the game);

That's a nice glitch. I am already mid 3's range. Not sure how much it will help though. Plus, 4am? Ugh. I can't stay up that late. Not worth the hassle.

Have to say this though Witty. Aren't you kind of going against what you just said on the prior page? You are essentially doing the same thing you told me to relax on (playing to save time)

Have to say this though Witty. Aren't you kind of going against what you just said on the prior page? You are essentially doing the same thing you told me to relax on (playing to save time)

For these 2 weeks of holidays I am ussally still up at 1am anyway, and this glitch is a great way to save some time. I am all for finding ways to do less grinding

I am glad that I am finally done with this though. The New Year is upon us and one of my New Year resolutions is to sacrifice much less sleep (if any) for gaming

One nice thing I noticed recently: when dismantling pre-DLC legendary weapons, I now get 1 telemetry in addition to glimmers, AE, and weapon parts. Anybody else noticed that?

Give it four months and then they'll decide 300 attack weapons can be reforged to match the current attack level for Strange Coins.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least -- that's why I'll be hanging on to all my VoG weapons for quite a while.

Witty, I think the telemetry on breakdown has always been there.  I've had it happen several times, but it was only on weapons that were already fully upgraded.  Breaking down a new gun that wasn't leveled at all only ever gave me 2 or 3 AE and weapon parts, but breaking down a fully upgraded one would give 5-6 AE, 6+ weapon parts, and sometimes a telemetry.

that's more or less what I have seen too. I have pretty much broken down many of my old Legendary weapons, and have consistently gotten AE's in the 5 to 6 range.

I posted this link in the "meet the expansion" thread: planetdestiny.com/weapon-comparison/ . Pretty informative on what weapons to consider.

Vanguard Quartermaster offerings:

1) I bought LDR-5001 yesterday because I need a legendary arc sniper. It feels pretty good, probably the best Vanguard weapon worthy your marks;
2) I got Badger CCL from an engram and it is pretty good too;
3) I got a PLUG ONE.1 from an engram as well, it is a fusion rifle with big impact but low charge rate. Luckily the one I got has the "ACCELERATED COILS" talent which greatly speeds up the charge rate, as well as void damage to complement Murmur perfectly. I have fully upgraded it and it is now my new go to FR in Crucible;
4) I got 3 "ONE WAY TICKET 000" from loot drops, one of each damage type. Looks like RNG god really wants me to use this Rocket Launcher So far I am not very impressed because none of them have great talents, but they get the job done and can't complain for something I got for free;

Crucible Quartermaster has several attractive offerings:

1) TFWPKY 1969;
2) B-Line Trauma (similar to MiDA);
3) The Saterienne Rapier (ScoutR with Fatebringer like talents);
4) Three Little Words (highest impact Pulse Rifle with 2 very useful talents);
5) Y-09 Longbow Synthesis: I got this from a loot drop. Solid Sniper Rifle with stats similar to Ice Breaker, and mag size of 5 (most legendaries only have 3 or 4);
6) Against All Odds machine gun: highest impact just like Jolder's Hammer, which feels like an auto sniper;

Iron Banner weapons: the article described most of them in detail, they are all pretty solid. I have the following with 331 max attack:

1) Efrideet's Spear: hardest hitting sniper in the game, just like Black Hammer;
2) Gheleon’s Demise: similar stats as Badger CCL, bigger mag;

Faction weapons:

1) I heard a lot of good things about Vanquisher III from New Monarchy. Similar stats as Shadow Price / Grim Citizen III;

Regarding VoG, there is one (potentially) simple thing they can do: raise VoG hard to level 32 and make it drop exotic/VoG weapons with 331 attacks and armors with 36 light. This will immediately address the following complaints:

1) Players fondness of VoG weaponry;
2) VoG becomes a very attractive option again from loot perspective, aside from fun;
3) People will be excited about AE/AS again;

The only wrinkle here is that this may make CsE loot less attractive. IMHO that's not a problem at all because people will still be playing it for fun and getting the full collection.

On a side note: not only am I saving VoG weapons, I am also keeping VoG armors with good stats roll. Why? Because I want to keep them as options for my level 30 loadouts, mainly to beat Nightfall and Weekly more easily.
