Wish I had it when working on last week's weekly, Ice Breaker is nice but the Vandal majors are a handful to deal with I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it however, there is still the fact that ammo is being refilled under certain circumstances for any weapon.

Pocket infinity is surely the best bounty to get at the moment IMHO, unless you hate fusion rifles and already have an icebreaker. But even then, it is still a great gun.
after that, the invective is good for PvP, the thorn is okay in PvE I guess, the bad juju is a little less then okay, and I have not had the other bounty options for some reason (I already did get the bad juju and invective bounty three times!)

Patience and Time is a solid sniper, but the invisibility upgrade is useless in PvE (it has no effect), and barely situational in PvP. No effect in PvE? So AIs can still see me? I was thinking that this would go well with Warlock's ability to hold in the air when ADS. Not only would I be able to aim in the air and take my time to line up the headshots, but also invisible to enemy fire when doing so. Too bad...

Got quite a few weapons yesterday, need comments on some of them:
1) Legendary Machine Gun - "The Culling" (solar damage)
2) Legendary Pulse Rifle - "Light/Beware" (void damage)
3) Legendary Shotty - "The Comedian" (solar damage)
For 2), want to know whether it is worth being kept around, or should I consider adding it to the list of "10 rare and above fusion rifles" to dismantle for the Pocket Infinity bounty (got 6 rare so far burning slots in my vault). BTW, I already got a Plan-C.

BTW, I already got a Plan-C. The gunsmith sells rare fusion rifles every three days. Just make sure you have enough glimmer. Dismantling a Legendary weapon simply for that bounty is not a wise decision. Particularly because the Pocket Infinity isn't even very good anymore.

Rare FR were on sale yesterday at Gunsmith for 3 hours. Bought the last 3 I need and completed the Pocket Infinity bounty. Also, I got another Light/Beware so now I have 2 , one with Void and one with Arc. Looks like it is going to my legendary FR of the choice when using an exotic primary. However, probably won't be using it much as I got Plan-C from Raid loot and fully upgraded it. Oh my, that's a powerful piece of FR. Arc damage with insane range (it even has a big scope to go with it), and switch from primary and charge can be lightning fast from time to time. I will work on Light/Beware first because I have too many exotic special (Ice Breaker, Plan-C, Patience & Time x2, Pocket Infinity) but no legendary. This makes it very difficult for me to level up Suro Regime I also love this legendary Scout Rifle called "Proxima Centauri II". For some reason with the 3rd scope I can land the headshots fairly effortlessly, feels like a mini sniper rifle. The talents my version of the weapon has are: 1) last bullet deals bonus damage (~20%), 2) kills cause targets to explode, and my most favorite 3) kills reduce grenade cooldown. Until I got Vision of Confluence, this will be my ScoutR of choice. Goes very well with my Plan-C (shoot until last bullet and immediately switch). I also fully upgraded legendary "Unfriendly Giant" with void damage. That's a Praetorian killing machine , highly highly recommended by Dumien, now have my full endorsement as well.

So if it's every three days, the gunsmith sells fusion rifles...then it's Sunday, ...and then Wednesday? Which hours? I did look on Sunday, but missed out.

Use the phone app or Bungie.net to check once in a while. BTW, each will cost you 2000+ glimmers. So make sure to reserve room in your glimmer account for this purchase or otherwise you will kick yourself when it is on sale. I needed 3 and can only afford 2 (yes, I am poor ), so I had to run some laps to just get enough for the third before the timer ran out.

It's funny, none of the exotics from the exotic bounty are actually decent for PvE.

To be honest: after completing the bounty, I am more excited to be finally able to free up the bounty slot and 10 weapon slots than actually getting the weapon . I have plenty of exotic special already, getting this is more or less for collection purpose.

Well if we get a lvl update soon, we may also get a lvl upgrade on weapons, possibly rendering current "top tier" weapons under leveled?! to keep us chasing new exotics up to our level. It remains to be seen but nothing would really surprise, has happened before, can happen again.

Got the same set of exotic bounty again, this time I need to choose between bad juju and super good advice. After careful consideration, I decided to go with bad juju even though it sucks at the moment and the bounty is much harder to complete:
1) exotic heavy is less important for me right now;
2) bad juju may get a buff in the near future;
3) I got the bounty on Warlock, which gets bonus for the crucible phase;

Is getting exotic bounties random or is there a known trigger?

Is getting exotic bounties random or is there a known trigger? Appears to be pretty random to me. First time I got it on my hunter, second time warlock. Same set of offering though.

4) Super Good Advice is terrible. Too uncontrollable. The rounds that miss being added back to the mag sounds like a great upgrade, but in reality you're not going to be missing your target entirely very much, you'll just be missing your target's crit spot. No/few crit shots = slow TTK. Hopefully it'll get some kind of stability buff at some point. Further reading: planetdestiny.com/super-good-advice-exotic-review/

I was told both are pretty bad, so I am just picking my poison. Warlock bonus for bad juju is too enticing to pass up.

Well, Vex Myth is still waiting for the rebuff, right? My guess is that they are changing how weapon stats work so going forward tuning for PvE vs. PvP can be much easier, that's why it is taking some time.

Not an exotic but: there are few better things than watching the whoooomp explosion of an enemy when you precision kill them using Praedyth's Revenge.

link. so Punkprayer (scout rifle) has higher impact (61 vs. 28), little lesser range (94 instead of 100), 7 over 6 in the magazine and more stability compared to No land beyond (sniper rifle). This renders sniper rifles at least somewhat useless?!

The lowest impact sniper rifle is still going to do more damage per shot than the highest impact scout rifle.

This renders sniper rifles at least somewhat useless?! I would expect sniper rifles to deal more base and critical damage. It might be created because scout rifles are probably weak for high level PvE playlists. In addition, there is no legendary chest armour that boosts sniper and scout rifle ammo, which I thought is a shame because Rustburner chest armour can do this and I do like my A1 scout rifle.

Sniper rifles have a higher crit multiplier. You also can and should cultivate an arsenal of sniper rifles of all three elemental damage types.

This renders sniper rifles at least somewhat useless?! Not exactly. Comparing impact between different weapon types doesn't really work. The lowest impact sniper rifle is still going to do more damage per shot than the highest impact scout rifle. to add to that, I share some stats I have been keeping from the VoG. When shooting lv 26 Praetorians, with a Lv 29 player. A Legendary Vision of Confluence (5/5 max dam level) does 267 damage on the Praetorians in the opening stage. A legendary scout 'Crusader' (0/5 upgraded) does 204. The exotic MIDS Multi, 0/5 upgraded, only does 187. Pretty much, using my VoC, I need to get about 18 to 19 shots on a Praetorian, to take him down. At full auto, that's about 8.8 seconds (if I don't miss a shot) My IceBreaker? Max level (5/5) does around 1,190 on a Praetorian. Even my Rare Sniper, unleveled 'Hieracon LR5, it does 439 damage. So give me five shots, the praetorian is killed. About 3.7 seconds. 3.7 < 8.8 The above becomes very important during Atheon stage, during the Gatekeeper section, when defending the top steps. Knowing what your damage stats are. It helps you juggle weapons when taking down the Minotaurs/Preatorians that rush you in waves.Do four sniper shots, finish with a auto rifle. Four sniper shots, finish with auto. You do this juggling, one person can hold off the waves almost indefinitely with regenerating ammo. The above is important in the Gatekeeper/defend the steps role.....as the Minotars(or Praetorians?) tend to spawn every five seconds. So you can do the math. If I use my VoC, at 8.8 seconds, I will slowly be overwhelmed by the third enemy. If I use my sniper, at 3.7 seconds, I stay ahead of them, but will slowly run out of ammo on the fourth enemy (even with self-regen ammo). But...by juggling/swapping weapons, and tossing in a grenade every other enemy, one can achieve a perfect equilibrium, where your IceBreaker won't run out, and your auto rifle is good too. You can pretty much hold down the spot for dozens of enemies (although if things go well, you rarely need to go past ten to twelve)
