I want to get a full run in with my Titan more than anything. After that, I'm all for bringing in my level 30 hunter and trying again. Otherwise, I've got a 28 warlock that would really benefit from the oracle checkpoint.

I could use 3 oracle to gatekeeper runs. I'd like to get raid boots (more heavy ammo!) for my hunter even though he's at 30 already. Warlock still needs raid gloves, chest, and helmet. Titan still needs gloves and helmet. 2 completions would be great! So much to do, so little time!

I can be on at 430 PT. I need 3 Oracle to Gatekeeper runs. Also would enjoy a full run for a shot at the Mythoclast.

BTW... My Titan is still level 28, but my two Warlocks are level 30 (with gear swapping).

Great! Looks like we have a team: 12/01 Monday VoG Hard, tentative start 5pm PT (I may be able to start as early as 4:30pm) Our rosters on full run looks quite strong: 1. Witty - level 30 Titan / Warlock 2. Thebb22 - level 29 Titan / level 30 Hunter, w/Gjallarhorn 3. HebbNH - level 30 Hunter, w/Gjallarhorn 4. Malgato - level 30 Warlock 5. Open 6. Open Hopefully Dumien can join us as well, which will make our group 4-5+ level 30s + 2 Gjallarhorns. It's time for the Vex to fear us! malgato: can you start at 4pm? If yes, I'll try to even make that. We need all the time we can get, as we are looking at possibly 2 full runs and 3 quick runs. In terms of order of play: considering that all of us need a full run (for helmet, vex mytho, vision of confluence, etc), I suggest the following: 1) Start at Oracle CP and go all the way; 2) 1-2 more quick runs; 3) Another full run if we have time; 4) Another quick run if somebody still needs 1; (we can easily find players through LFG if we don't have 6 by then) If we get stuck on Gatekeeper or Atheon of 1) for too long (say 1 hour+), we can revaluate whether to take a break from that and complete 2). Thoughts?

Bad news guys. Bungie is patching the templar exploit. This could mean that the "quick" runs are no longer quick.
On the positive front: templar fight is now great practice ground for using the relic. I am excited about that. After yesterday's VoG hard run, I am comfortable with most of the VoG, except for 2 areas: relic usage and the gorgon maze.

I have one tip I learnt from the group I played with last night, regarding the Oracle phase. The way we are doing it is to snipe the oracles from safe distance. To do that we will have to send one guy down to trigger the whole thing (let's call him "the trigger"). Unless this guy is Dumien ( ), he is basically out of the game for the duration of that fight. Fortunately, there is a great way to address this: 1) Have a Warlock with Fireborn as "the trigger"; 2) The trigger waits for his super to be fully charged before jumping down. He can then self revive and reappear at the top platform, and participate in turkey shoot of Oracles as well. 6 Ice Breakers = significantly easier and faster In order to reappear at the top, the trigger has to make sure that he falls to death in certain manner. Unfortunately I did not quite get that part. We will need to experiment.

Another tip if you are a hunter: use the throwing knife on the detainment shield, it does significant damage. I can go so far as suggesting to equip 2 knives

One piece of good news today is that the "party chat causing slower frame rate on XONE" issue will also be fixed. We can finally party chat again!
Note that this looks like a separate patch from 1.1.

The method Hebb posted looks pretty easy. Only bummer is we will no longer get the 5th chest.

The method Hebb posted looks pretty easy. Only bummer is we will no longer get the 5th chest. That's just a chest with shards & energy? As long as it is not one that could produce exotic weapons it is acceptable to not get it, considering that we need less AMs now with exotics no longer requiring them to upgrade. Otherwise we will have to prevent Templar from teleporting and deal with the consequences (of minotaurs) associated with it.

Yes, the chest we'd miss is just shards and energy -- no big deal. Also looking like I may not be able to make it on tonight, or it might be later if I'm able to. Feel free to start without me and maybe I'll be able to jump in later.

Feel free to start without me and maybe I'll be able to jump in later. In that case we will play by ear. Since Mal probably has a limited window, at 4:30pm PT we can consider doing 2 quick runs first with Mal/Thebb/Dumien/me and 2 randoms from LFG. If we are lucky enough to find some good randoms, we can consider stretch that into full runs. hebbnh: do let us know if you can play later in the evening, so we can plan accordingly and get you some runs as well.

my friends list/party system is borked. Same. Jumped on to hopefully get in with you guys at some point, but obviously that didn't work out too well. Apparently a Live-wide issue. Lizard Squad is taking responsibility for bringing the service down.

This group hangs out near the back right conflux for Templar. Looks viable as an alternative to the Gato Gambit...

Nothing against MothMan, but he and his friend did not bring the firepower. I think that is what really killed our attempts last night. Need Icebreaker or Vision of Confluence for the Gato Gambit...

Does anyone even know what they brought? Because it couldn't have been any good. I was back and forth between Gjallarhorn and Praedyth's Revenge/IceBreaker and it seemed like we weren't getting anywhere.

Sounded like one was using MIDA multitool. Not sure it was fully upgraded. No idea what snipers. Not sure about ammo synthesis. Overall inadequate.
I have fully upgraded VoC, Icebreaker, and Hezen's Rockets (no Gjallahorn...), so I was sticking with those.
I really think my strategy would work if we had better dps.

MrMothFTW was using Suros Regime and fully upgraded Praedyth's Revenge. xXPghNets15Xx was using MIDA (*NOT* fully upgraded) and Praedyth's. Not sure about rockets, but neither had Gjallahorn or Hezen's. PghNets was the biggest problem.

Not sure when Stone is gonna be back. I know he was gonna be gone for a little while. HebbNH should be available tonight though if everyone else can make it. We might be able to dig up GeneralIce, Kakashi, Aroc, or someone else to fill in a gap or two.
