Yeah, those bounties are much, much easier now. I sent you a contact request mannon. I'm on fairly often (as I'm grinding for vanguard and/or crucible marks on all 3 of my characters). Add me as well, TheHawkNY

Trials of Osiris will likely be rage inducing.
First of all, there's no way for them to fix the connection issues through matchmaking. None. Lagging gives you an advantage in Destiny, and they won't prevent you from forming a fireteam where people are guaranteed to lag.
Even more frustrating, the quality of your weekly drops will largely be determined by random matchmaking. Crucible is at times maddeningly frustrating, even when no rewards are on the line. Trials of Osiris is probably going to take years off of some lives.

I think I might have sent you a request Hawk, look to see if there's a request from a "crt5md". If there isn't, I'll send you one shortly.

Trials of Osiris is probably going to take years off of some lives. Rage inducing? I think that we can bet money on it for sure . Nothing can be more frustrating than losing a game at the 8-2. On the flip side: the game mode also presents plenty of "excitement-inducing" opportunities to clutch a game so you can be hailed by your teammates as heroes On the lag issue: 3v3 is the 2nd smallest number of players in a PvP game I know, right behind Team Doubles in Halo 2. Hopefully the connection problems can be somewhat mitigated. Also, Bungie did decide to let everybody play as many times as they want (glimmer is the only entry fee needed, right?), this can offset the rage from BS losses a bit. On a side note (for players who played Halo in the past): I am pleased to announce that Halo MCC is finally fully playable, 6 months and a million patches after release . I played 7 hours of Team Slayer (=TDM in CoD) non-stop yesterday after the most recent patch: Matchmaking finds players fast, visible rankings work as expected, SBMM matches players within 3 rankings most of the time, 60FPS on dedicated servers feel buttery smooth, betrayers can be booted, quitters will be punished, and the ability to play H1/H2/H3 all in the same playlist is beautiful (Most import of all: I was able to play H1 MP for the first time, and it is great fun!). Too bad the game was not released like this...

Did/will you buy the dlc, Snes? Well, after the recent reveals...I think I might get it, but I'll probably do so after it releases.

I've been reading about the Trials of Osiris some more, as I am no where close to doing this yet. I read that IB level advantages are in effect. So if one is at level 32 right now, they would be at a 5% to 15% disadvantage going into this? Depending on if your opponents are level 33, 34, or 35. I don't see myself hitting level 33 for quite some time, so I'm assuming people who play the ToO, are going to be ahead.
Not a big deal when dealing with the IB. Maybe you die a few more times, but you can still grind through. You'll get your stuff either way, maybe just taking an extra game or two. But the ToO? The gametype is one and done. Die, round over. That small difference could, or will be huge. And if you lose a few games, you lose your ticket and your time is wasted You get nothing for your efforts? That part I am not sure of. Am I reading that correctly?

Well first off from what I've seen each game is a first to five rounds victory meaning you could play 5 to 9 rounds with the same opponents. (Best of 9 rounds wins...) 1 of those rounds will have heavy ammo, the others will not. You don't have respawns, but you do have infinite revives, (including fireborn if you have super up). So it's pretty sheer but not totally vertical, especially if you have good mates who can and will revive you.
Each best of 9 rounds game will count as a win or loss on your ticket which doesn't max out until 3 losses or 9 wins. So you can absorb up to two game losses by default anyway.
On top of that you can purchase boons from the ToO NPC. (They cost special coins you get from Crucible and quests.) There are three boons. I think you can use one of each per ticket. The first gives you a free win, the second erases your next loss, the third will count your next win as 2 wins. So if you apply all three boons to a ticket you can absorb 3 losses and assuming you get at least 1 win you will get 2 for free.
Now when you turn in your ticket there are several items you can purchase. Some I believe are grab bag box kinda things so you don't know what you're getting, others are just strait up items. They are graded by the number of wins.
So you have something like: stone box for 3 wins bronze box for 4 wins fusion rifle for 5 wins silver box for 6 wins armor piece for 7 wins gold box for 8 wins
So even a ticket with very few wins on it is still worth something.

You also don't have to play your whole ticket all at once and the boons don't expire.

Oh ok. Thanks. I didn't see anything on the boons stuff. Thanks.

The stone and bronze boxes both give you a couple of passage coins and some motes. Silver and Gold boxes each drop an Etheric Light.
The real bonus is if you get to 9 wins and no losses - you get access to the Lighthouse, where you receive 1 more Etheric Light, a couple of emblems (one is Exotic, and you must have inventory space for it, it will not go to postmaster), and one of the Trials primaries with a random Elemental damage.
Heavy comes the round after one team reaches 3 wins.

The boons can really help with that by giving you up to 2 free wins and erasing a loss.

I got 4 etheric light from my 9-0 run. I played on my 33 (at the time) hunter. Very very worth it if you can pull together a solid team for about an hour and a half.
I got a nice void auto rifle out of it.

Doubt I can. Also I'm only up to level 31 so I may be at a disadvantage.
In other news, from what I'm reading I really really need The Ram in my life. The armor bonus is damn good and stacks with radiant skin! I already loved wrecking fools with radiant skin and Red Death last Iron Banner, this would just be icing on the cake. I wouldn't even need the neigh infinite grenades during radiance, I'd be nearly unkillable as long as I kept picking people off with Red Death. mwahahaha
Although if for ToO Fireborn is probably the better choice... I dunno. I'm really split on that. For Control I definitely prefer skin. Fireborn feels like planning for failure. But since skin is defensive it counter intuitively allows me to play more offensively. That could be useful in ToO as well, but having fireborn is a nice backup. Just depends. Fireborn for insurance or skin and go for trying to take out as many of the other team as you can. Unfortunately if they are spread out it could be hard to get to them while radiance is still active. Smaller player count hurts viability of skin, but then ToO is playing on a small map. I dunno... I'll have to experiment. Either way I just really really wish I had The Ram. ;3
