Yes, I tried looking this up before I made the thread and came up with nothing. Maybe I wasn't using the correct keywords or something. Anyway, what exactly do these do for recoil on a gun? I remember a while back when the MK14 was buffed that they made the MinPitch negative so that it can actually kick downwards now (or something along those lines). So what difference does a positive and negative number have when it comes to recoil?

Gunkick: -/+ means up/down or right/left Viewkick: -/+ means down/up or right/left

Negative recoil numbers are like positive ones but in the opposite direction (pitch yaxis, yaw xaxis). For viewkick, a negative pitch means down and a negative yaw means to the left right. For vertical viewkick (ie pitch), negative numbers are usually lower in magnitude than their upward counterpart <like the mk14'2 -35 to 50>; sometimes they are so low, in fact, that they don't even exhibit recoil due to the centerspeed pulling the aiming reticule back before the weapon even finishes cycling another round (firetime) (eg MW3's Scarl). When the RNG determines the recoil value for such a pitch, there's more of a chance that a number with no recoil is picked.
