Also, I found some lower level "power weapons" are very worth considering than Loadout weapons, examples include: 1) Plasma Pistol: always a solid option, noob combo on other players, EMP the vehicle, etc. 2) Needler: two words - "satisfying kills" 3) Storm Rifle: this seems to be more effective than AR in CQC; 4) Carbine: a rapid fire precision weapon that is great in chaotic situations (aka: great at steal teammates' kills) I've loved picking up the Storm Rifle in place of the Assault Rifle within Arena as it's a very deadly weapon. I think it rivals the SMG pretty equally in CQC TTK except it requires some tougher aiming on a strafing opponent -- it overheats pretty quick though. Needler is another very powerful feeling weapon, but I've not been very effective with it thus far as I always seem to be either just out of range or a bit too close (the enemy has had a better CQC weapon in those cases which ends up taking me out fairly easily before I can get enough needles into them). I've enjoyed using the Plasma Pistol when I have used it, but I haven't grabbed it nearly as often as I should have. Not much of a fan of the Carbine; I prefer my Magnum over it and pretty much any other precision weapon. The Boltshot on the other hand has been a weapon I've been pleasantly surprised with; though, it needs to be used within it's effective range. I love the lock-on bullets; to me they feel better than the needles within the Needler.

Carbine is in general weak in 1-on-1 situations, but it does excel at cleanup kills. I would not think of using it in Arena, but in Warzone when charging into enemies with teammates it can be great at stealing kills

Other things that are great to consider when near a REQ station: Armor Mods and Power Ups. Especially latter, because they are time limited. If you use them at spawn, you are wasting the first a few seconds when running to the frontline.

i thought armor mods were permanent? I haven't even received one yet.
I've started selling all my power ups. I HATE them. I got a rare extra damage one, used it, got killed immediately. NO THANKS

Bronze vs. Silver discussion:
- RP cost: 1 Silver = 4 Bronze = 5000 - From Silver: guaranteed 2 perm unlocks, common to rare - From Bronze: possibility of 1 perm unlock, common (and maybe uncommon?)
IMHO it is hard to say which way is better. Go for Bronze if you are feeling lucky, or Silver if you want sure things.
I did all Bronze last weekend. Plan to go all in with Silver this week and see how it goes.
I also opened the 6 premium packs I got from Warzone bundle for the first 3 weeks, but now I am kinda regretting my decision, due to 1) RNGs might get wasted on lower rarity, and 2) looks like 343i are introducing new cards every month. Starting next week, I am going to save up all my premium packs and open them later, after I exhausted all the perms obtainable thru silver.

The Armor Mods are permanent; they're like the Loadout weapons in that way.
Power Ups are very useful in the right places.
I've found the Overshield to be extremely useful in making core destruction pushes as well as to help clear out bases.
The Damage Boost is extremely helpful in taking down bosses or enemy vehicles; especially, when paired with weapons that do extra vehicular damage.
The Speed Boost I've only found useful when I either accidentally spawn at a base that's far from where I need to be (sometimes I'll just spawn a Mongoose or Ghost instead) or if I'm trying to flank the enemy (again, vehicles are options but on foot I have the option to stop and crouch if I need to get stealthy).
Invisibility I haven't used yet, but I imagine it could be quite useful in flanking attempts to capture an enemy base or more importantly to deny enemies the ability to capture a particular base you hold; the invisibility would allow you to hide and prevent the capture.

Witty, let us know how your bronze vs silver pack strategy works of. Right now I'm assuming bronze is the way to go.
Lantern, has there been any analysis yet on which armor mod is best ? I assume you can only activate one at a time ?

Has anyone managed to unlock either the long ranged BR (with 4x scope) or the DMR? These weapons are completely broken in Warzone...4 shotting from across the map is effortless. I've been through countless REQ packs with nothing to show for them. I think the Silver pack is the optimal pack to open if you're hunting for them.

good tip, clearshot, thanks. I picked up an assault rifle with extended range and some sort of stability buff. I was absolutely tearing it up in Warzone with that thing. I can't imagine what an even better extended-range weapon would do.

I have two "Longshot BRs", one has REQ level 3 and is my go to weapon, the other has REQL level 8 which is pretty much pointless (from the description, sounds like the main difference is latter has an "energy bayonet" for improved melee).
Both have rarity "Uncommon". Can't remember how I got them, but theoretically they can be dropped from any packs. Silver is definitely has the best ROI.
I have yet to get any DMRs. All of them have rarity of >= "Rare", so definitely won't be dropped by Bronze. Curious to know what REQ level they have.
In general: is there a way to look up REQ level per REQ card without having to get into a Warzone game?

REQ level 8 on a Loadout weapon does not make it a pointless weapon as it's an excellent weapon to switch to late in Warzone games when REQs are often running high; remember Loadout weapons don't cost you the use of your REQ points, but you do have to save up to reach level 8 as level 8 becomes available.

I've been lucky enough to pick up someone else's double zoom BR on a few occasions and I too was able to wreck with it. I have not earned through REQ or even been able to use the DMR outside of the ARENA.

With limited Warzone games I played, if my team can reach REQ level 8 then it usually means a landslide victory, and I probably am using some high level random weapons just for fun. Sure, I can switch to the level 8 Longshot BRs from the level 3 one that haas energy bayonet, but probably won't make any difference . With the REQ system, it is the power items at lower REQ level that counts the most, at least from my own experience.

Scorp, on that last point of yours, which ones specifically do you find have impact ? It sounds like you have a fixed tactical play with your REQS and I'd love to hear it. Mine doesn't seem that great

Mine doesn't seem that great I don't really have anything fancy other than the thought process I described earlier, and I suspect that you are a much better Warzone player than I am My last comments mainly come from my mental model of thinking of Warzone as a race in terms of reaching higher REQ levels. The goal is to take full advantage of REQs to build/increase/maintain a power mismatch over the opposing teams, and the earlier stage are usually more critical than later. Based on this model, I am thinking of the following: upon reaching level 2: Storm Rifle > AR? upon reaching level 3: loadout weapon switch - AR to SMG, Magnum to Longshot BR Try luck on random power weapons at level 3 (I have quite a few so can just burn them when I want) and hope for something good. I got rushed a couple of times by the opposing teams with Shotty and Swords, I suspect that's what they did. Similar ideas at high levels, but since I don't have many random power weapons at such levels I am just going with the ones I have with good stock levels and/or are certified.

Similar ideas at high levels, but since I don't have many random power weapons at such levels I am just going with the ones I have with good stock levels and/or are certified. I usually don't grab a power weapon or vehicle in the early going as I want my REQ level to be level 5 as soon as it can so that I can make use of the Armor Mods I have available - both are available at REQ level 5; therefore, my focus in the early going within the REQ system is to forego grabbing power weapons or vehicles that would reset my REQ meter and instead I simply focus on upgrading my starting loadout weapons. As soon as I hit REQ level 2 I swap out my AR for a different one as I have various options at REQ level 2. At REQ level 3 I add a longshot BR, but sometimes I add it over my AR in order to keep my Magnum and at other times I add it over my Magnum so that I can go with yet another upgraded AR (several additional options at REQ level 3). At REQ level 4 I have new BR options and depending on if opponents are using or calling in a decent amount of vehicles I will pair a BR with extra damage to vehicles with either my Longshot BR or with an extra vehicular damaging AR; however, I also have the option at REQ level 4 to add the SMG to my loadout and I may do that if I'm focusing on taking or holding a base. At REQ 5 I can add one of my two Armor Mods and have yet more options to go with regarding my loadouts depending on the circumstances within the game, but I also may call in my first vehicle, power weapon, or power up too -- again, depending on game circumstances.

I only have two: Advanced Sensors & Auto-Medic.
Between the two I use Advanced Sensors most often, but I've begun to incorporate the Auto-Medic more often then I initially did.
Advanced Sensors causes the motion tracker to be compatible with Smart-Link, and both the range and sensitivity are enhanced (seems very minute). You're also suppose to be harder to detect on enemy Trackers, but I'm not sure that's really occurring.
Auto-Medic supposedly speeds up the rate at which your actual health and shield recharge at. If it shortened the time before your recharge process began I think I might value it a bit more.
If the Increased Strength mod lets you 1 hit kill with a Spartan Charge I'd definitely consider that; however, I really want to get the Upgraded Shield mod or Upgraded Thruster mod.

Browsing through Reddit and find this post on Warzone tips (probably belong to the Tips and Tricks thread, but since we have been discussing Warzone strategies in this thread, it is probably more relevant here):
https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/3qzl0v/my_top_ten_warzone_tips_after_almost_75_matches/
All of these tips are solid suggestions. Specifically speaking, I need to follow - 2: did not think of this until yesterday; - 6: have been trying to take middle ase in all the games I played where the enemy took it first, stupid; - 7: did not even realize that I can choose to spawn at different bases; - 8: forgot REQ cards burn "energy points" and have been choosing the cards too liberally; - 10: too focused on Spartan kills and did not work on boss takedowns nearly enough;

I finally unlocked the Longshot BR. Warzone is now officially on EZ mode.
As far as boss takedowns go, I've noticed that if you ground pound or spartan charge them, they will get stunned for 2-3 seconds allowing for an easy assassination (on some of them, at least).

Looks like REQ microtransactions is a great success:
11/04: one week after game launch, 500K from REQ purchases are added to the prize pool, total = 1.5 million; Today: two more weeks added another 200K, prize pool is now at 1.7 million.
Note that only "a portion" of the total sales are contributed to the pool, so the actual spending from the community is probably significantly more than 700K.
