Yeah that is the same data from a pastebin linked in the comments on this Reddit thread. Whoever gave it to you has just copy pasta'd it into their own paste bin (I checked my history)

The range values in that data seem weird, they only give 2 damage values and basically a discrete range drop off point.

No one in that thread explained that really. They did say the BM guy was so bad he couldn't even properly paste from a list though so it is unclear how inaccurate the list is. Obviously there have been some nerfs and buffs that won't be in there if it is close to the release stats. The file does mention the beta in the past tense in, for example, the KN 44 description. Still would love any insight on how to just go pull that data ourselves. Edit: xposted |

Who has BO3 on PC? Can you try and decrypt the common_mp.ff and the patch_mp.ff files with 7zip?
I tried messing around with the beta versions but 7zip couldn't do those.

Now he's selling his app in the app store and releasing a single letter of the various stats out of order on youtube. I'm also pissed I spent an hour googling how to decrypt fast files and looking around itsmods.com to figure out if the BOII ff explorer will work with BO3, when I could have just been playing BO3 instead.

I also see several of us not taking it for granted and exploring what our options are. It's important to remember the game's code and its contents are the property of Treyarch and Activision--no one else--and this information exists nowhere else outside of their code. They could use their copyright claim to have this stuff pulled anytime they want. The only thing Marvel owns here is his labor, and he's certainly free to charge people for his time. Not sure why anyone would begrudge him that. If what was once a labor of love for him has become a chore, I can certainly understand wanting to be paid to continue doing it. |

I certainly don't feel entitled to this info, and I appreciate it, which is why I donated to Marvel as soon as I saw he had a donate link. Which is more than a lot of others have done, apparently. What is mildly annoying (mildly, just mildly) is not that Marvel wants to get paid. He can take his ball and go home if he wants, that's fine. I'll spare everyone my old man Internet sanctimoniousness about community and blah blah blah. We are in the age of Internet entrepreneurship, God bless you kids. And we are a bunch of ungrateful bastards, I don't blame him. But the person paying him apparently can't be trusted to publish accurate information or update it in a timely manner. So even if some one buys the app and publishes the stats for us (I would do it if I have an iphone, or I would split it with someone) even that would be a dicey proposition. So, in the meantime I am going to try and figure out how to do it so I can give it to everyone for free, and I encourage others to do so too because I will probably give up (and we are about to have a another kid any minute here so wife probably won't want me messing around on the interwebs too much in the near future). That's all. No hard feelings. Just sort of dissappointed, really. |

Yeah well, two years ago people were on marvs ass to get the zombie stats for BO2, so he offered to teach people how to pull stuff themselves because he didnt care about zombies. Nobody actually stuck with it because its very tedious and not very rewarding. Hell there wouldnt even have been AW stats if someone hadnt straight up bought him the game. Even then people came onto the irc to bug him about some specific combination 30 times a day. He could've totally bailed on this whole thing all together and people would be giving him less shit than they are right now. That's extremely cunty of people. But all I'm saying right now is that if Marvel has already put in the time but Bowel Movement is too retarded to use copy and paste... shit's just fucked up. |
