OK that right there. See, that's lame. That right there is fucking totally, totally lame. I really want to pay some Ukrainian code monkey to extract all the data from the fast files and release it publicly just to bait these brass monkeigh idiots into suing me.
Because Brass Monkeigh doesn't own shit, Activision does. There is no way anything they derive from COD is theirs, they have zero right to control it's distribution or dissemination without Activision's express consent.

While Drift0r hasn't admitted it so far, I believe he has entered into an arrangement with the Brass Monkeigh guy to have access to the stats in return for free promotion on his YouTube channel.
I wish Marvel would have expressed a public interest in being paid for his efforts because I never knew there was a way of paying him(donation PayPal or something) for all he has done for the community.
Even if Drift0r eventually makes videos outlining all the weapon and perk stats. He's never going to be able to make videos for every update.

I don't fault Marvel in the slightest for getting paid for his efforts, but it sucks ass that the guy he sold it to is dicking around and not getting the info out there in a timely manner. There are a lot of people waiting for this info, and that clown is just sitting on it. There has to be some way around this. I would have gladly chipped in to avoid this if I'd known it was going down this way.

I didn't know you could donate either. I just donated to Marvel, there is a button on the first page of the weapon stats thread. Even if we don't ever get any BO3 data, and even if I think that is incredibly, incredibly wrong under the circumstances, figure it's still warranted for all of the past spreadsheet data I have used. Thanks Marvel.
And now I can resume bitching about how lame it is that this brass monkeigh douche thinks he can put an embargo on this info. Marvel totally should still release the spreadsheet to the den community, I am crossing my fingers that is still going to happen. #freemarvel

I highly doubt, for the amount of money involved (I heard $600?), this dickwad actually got a proper confidentiality agreement in place and signed by Marvel.
PS: Why did drift0r mention the movement speed of every type of weapon except for shotguns? They feel slower than the SMGs.

True, no obligation, but Im glad he got to finally monetize some of the work he has done. He has for many years, and for free, supplied us with stats. If he put up a public PayPal, he would have most certainly received more money from all of us than he has from this transaction. Mousey linked to the raw data. The whole situation is rather interesting. While I think it is pretty clear that none of us are fully informed, I'm personally probably leaning more towards Mega's line of thinking. I would like to know what Drift0r's involvement actually is in this. My opinion of him has always fluctuated at the best of times and this certainly isn't doing any good (but who cares, my opinion means shit over dat YouTube monayyy).
As for Marvel, well I am happy to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sounds like things have just worked out awkwardly, possibly some bad decisions who knows. He's still generally a pretty cool guy so let's work from that.
I'd be happy to help Mega in looking at the raw data if I can. I finish exams in a few days so I should have time.

So I'm running on the assumption we are not getting the weapons stats based on the comments on reddit etc. by drif0r and others about the so-called secret "proprietary" spreadsheets, if that's false and we just need to be patient, someone (Marvel? Mousey? Anyone?) dispel me of that assumption please! I am perfectly content waiting. On the other hand, if we are on our own this go 'round, I tried looking for about a half hour for the post where Mousey linked to the fast files, or whatever the raw data file was, but I can't find it.  Mousey? Can you post that again? Anyways if anyone has it on PC, that's where Marvel gets it. Mousey seems to be the one most knowledgeable on this stuff other than Marvel. Marvel does your "contract" forbid you from helping us figure out how to do this ourselves?  I used to build maps for COD4 but that did not involve much to do with fast files, other than compiling a fast file with my maps in it, so I don't really remember any of this stuff. My understanding is you need basic understanding of a hex editor and the time to actually go through and pull the data out of it. Also denkirson.proboards.com/thread/5036has some good explanations of how to do it. |

KN44 = 192ms (note that at 16m this one increases a lot)
ICR1 = 300ms
XR2 = 132ms
Man-O-War = 116ms
M8A7 = 180ms
Shieva = 233ms (doesn't factor in High Caliber Headshots)
Gorgon = 183ms
48 Dredge = 150ms
To me, this seems insanely wrong as I don't believe "Man-O-War" has the lowest TTK. Especially in comparison to the m8a7/ xr2

I don't have BO3 on PC (because PS4 master race), but I do have BO2 so I'm downloading that now so I can practice on it. I will try to borrow BO3 so I can try to do what I can with that. I am dead serious about how much this profiteering pisses me off. It's not only a great way to shit all over the community, but it is definitively illegal. I am not mean spirited enough to attempt to contact Activision legal, but only because I doubt any reasonable amount of effort on my part could move them to action. |

The shame here is the app maker is apparently an incompetent sack of crap.
