Is it just me or is kill confirmed gone?

Can you only earn salvage in crates? If so yeah this is more p2w than BO3, at least the supply drop weapons in BO3 were just gimmicky silliness mostly. Some of the salvage variants sound pretty awesome. Daily sign on bonus (season pass have extra bonus), rare crates and duplicates, and mission teams levels (so go for those mission team challenges).

Kill confirmed is there. It is in "standard".
I do mission team missions, and it doesn't seem to earn me salvage, even when I get gold. Is it only higher levels that earn salvage?

You get salvage from mission teams once in a while but it's not much. You do get a few new guns from ranking up the team though. Overall a positive add on.
Can you believe that the last time we had enjoyable shotguns was AW? And I know some here don't find the Tac19 good enough still. I guess the W1200 or something in cod4 is nice.
I finished the campaign and enjoyed it, but I won't be touching any more multiplayer until they fix whatever "lag comp" issue that is making playing the game impossible. It's all over the IW subreddit.

BO3 shotguns were very fun. Argus was good times and Brecci was damn sexy. KRM was OK I guess.
This game is buggy as shit currently. One crash in the middle of the game that required a hard reboot of the Xbox (wtf??) and several crashes to the initial multiplayer menu from lobbies in the past few hours. Also sometimes when exiting the quartermaster the sound from the quartermaster gets "stuck" and repeats endlessly.

No frickin semi auto rifles at all. None. Not one. Not even one that fires so stupidly slow that you can hit the fire cap with your left hand pinky (as in whatever that last dumb game was called). None at all. What the actual duck.
I play this game for semi autos and shotguns. Thus I am seriously considering gifting it to a needy child for Christmas.
The whole game feels simultaneously bland and clunky. Were it not for the descriptions and arbitrary distinctions of lasers and sonics etc you would barely be aware that you were using different guns.
feels like the designers were like, 'Yeah, just let the interns pop out another COD, we're working on this whole other project that we actually give a tinker's luck about..."
Also, no possibility to change triggers! I always use top buttons for triggers, bottom for grenades. always have. I can't be alone...
Total waste of time and money.

I just realized the only weapon class that get's a mission team challenge is rifles (get X kills with assault rifles); we know what they want us to use.

Is there a max # of prestiges you can go for a weapon? I recall in BO2 it was two.

None at all. What the actual duck. The closest thing to semi ARs are the DMR-1 & the M1 (if you select it after prestiging). The obious downside is even with Extended Mags, you only get 12 rounds. I guess that's for balancing since it seems you need more BTK in this game than previous ones, idk? I'm 1238 salvage away from getting the Volk Goliath wich is the only semi AR. When that happens in 2 years I'll post back, lol, sheesh it takes a long time to get salvage.

Was anybody else struggling with the reduced aim assist? It seems lower as compared to prior Call of Duty titles (especially Black Ops 3, which seemed to have really strong target assist) The first few days, I was finding that when I lost gunfights, it's because I would be shooting just a little to the left or a little to the right of my enemy. That lower level of "stickiness" seems pretty pronounced. Lowering my sensitivity didn't help matters much, as it took too long to even get my sights on target.
I was doing horribly the first two days, started going positive, and am now getting TDM K/Ds of at least 2.0 per match. What seems to be working better for me (and this is a tactic that I've used to great success in past titles, now that I think about it) is equipping stock and strafing. And of course, getting familiar with the maps and anticipating enemies is also a huge factor.
I also noticed that after a certain range, there is ZERO aim assist on SMGs. For me, at least.

I was looking at all the config options last night and couldn't find anyway to do it. Maybe my vision was blurred by general dissatisfaction...

Yes aim assist is definitely lower. That, coupled with forgetting to put my TV in "game mode" last night after watching Westworld, led to a frustrating hour of pain and suffering.

It's a pretty noticeable change from BO3, but then again BO3 target assist was dragging me still after players ducked behind walls. So I can't tell if it's less than in AW or Ghosts for instance. I do feel the substantial drop-off for SMGs; that seems to be new. It makes the ERAD the only viable SMG for longer range combat because it's low recoil. I predict the ERAD being the competitive SMG, if things don't change up too much. FHR has fast drop-off, and I notice the reduced aim assist the most on the Karma.

I predict the ERAD being the competitive SMG, if things don't change up too much. FHR has fast drop-off, and I notice the reduced aim assist the most on the Karma. I've had pretty decent success with the FHR at close to close-medium range, but for whatever reason, the ERAD seemed to shoot marshmallows for me. But then again, I was probably experiencing the effects of the reduced target-assist mechanic in this game. I think the ROF associated with the FHR is what helped me win certain gunfights. But past mid-range, the complete lack of target assist is nearly a deal-breaker for me. I may have to stick to assault rifles and LMGs. Incidentally, I've been having a blast with the R.A.W. Its ROF is slower than the BRM, RPD, MK-48, and other 3-hit kill LMGs that I loved, but it seems to kill really quickly, even at close range. Like youi, I found that the BO3 target-assist would pull me towards enemies fleeing into buildings, or throwing me off when engaging multiple targets. I can't recall how strong it was in BO2, but I loved it in that game. Target assist seemed okay in Ghosts, but I'm having trouble remembering how it was, in light of how I quit that game after three months. Only played AW for about a month or so, before I called it quits. It does seem like my opponents seem to have zero problems snapping onto me and melting me, lol.

Suddenly Black Ops 3 for PC seems all the more enticing, given mod tools.

Checked in for a match or two earlier. These maps are gay. And still no stats or leaderboard.

who wants to pay 60 dollars to have the game play itself for you lol Just watch. When BO5 comes around in several years, it'll be set in the year 4000. And you'll be playing space cadets on Neptune playing with Iphone 1000s, which are playing their own game where guys are controlling holograms of a simulated war. And that simulated war game will be a movie set in the year 5000 you don't control. So you'll be playing guys, playing guys, watching a movie.

Smart sight on the shotgun widens your spread/gives it an unfavorable spread if it hasn't locked on yet. Based IW.

I was not active here for 2Y so a little update 1) IW not bot nor installed so far, but I loved COD4 so I 'll enter dat train sooner or later. 2) Time spent in BO3 approx. 3 hrs so far. 3) No interest in TitanFall 1 or 2 or 3 or any similar SF game, nth changed. 4) BF1 bot 2W ago, but as the game says my GPU drivers require update, but NVIDiA says they are updated, a bit of confusion here and 0 hrs spent there. 5) Doing Prestige 9. in MW3 on my 2nd Steam acc. at the moment, lvl 41 rgrds:) w PS: denkirson.proboards.com/post/216954/threadMW3 stats still not ready yet

I've seen maybe three to five in-game updates that take place on the main menu, and one patch. Still no leaderboards or stats.

Either the player count is super low on Xbox or they need to patch match-making. I had an easier time getting in a game on BO3 2 weeks ago than I am with IW.
The career challenges include two game modes I can't see anywhere: demo and "resistance." ??
Also your past 5 games info tab annoyingly is bugged, as it throws in a 0.0 record for SPM and K/D for the 5th game always and thus gives you an inaccurate 5 game average. This is clearly distressing given my COD stats are my only solace in this cold dark world.

I'm almost to the end of the first prestige.
This is kind of a rant.
The game just isn't getting any more fun for me.
I'm trying hard to like it. It's not as bad as Advanced Warfare, but i don't like it as much as BO3. Which is strange, because this game is pretty much BO3 pt 2....as there's pretty much nothing that is original in this game. It should have been a $20 add on, not a $60 to to $100 game. So setting aside getting ripped off....i keep asking myself, why am i not enjoying it as much as BO3? I'm struggling to find an answer. I'm not doing horrible. Probably running a 1.4 KD in TDM, which is a bit low for me, but i started playing late. So yeah, i'm not going to do as well as i normally do. So best i can tell, ...it's just that I freaking hate these god gosh darn golly gee whiz fvcking maps. Most every map is a space container cargo maps that have tons of intersecting pathways, ..basically creating a mexican jumping bean ADD Adderall induced style of gameplay that is overly frenetic at best, and just a sloppy mess of garbage at worst. Yes, i am getting to know them, but it doesn't change how they are made.
I can picture some pencil necked nerd at IW just masterbating all month about how much action is going on. Yeah, good for you nerd. You created tons of action. Props. But gameplay is garbage. It's just random mish mashing of spawns tossing everyone into random encounters which tend to be won by the person with the better jumping and reflexes, which isn't me.
Another gripe. I'm tired of putting bullets on an enemy, and them just side strafing or jumping away. No kill.
Another gripe. Why are those rip off artists at Activision hawking CoD points for cash, ....but they still haven't put up leaderboards? Not that i care about leaderboards at this point....but it does show where the developers are most concerned. It's not with uneven play, or sloppy design...nope. It's all about the CoD points and getting into our wallets. Same shit as before. Want a better gun? Buy CoD points and play the lottery wheel. Why not, people play this game keep giving them their money.
I'm pretty close to just deleting this off my Xbox 1 and moving on. I really can't see any point in putting time into this game. For what? The style is to much leaning towards Advanced Warfare. And what is there to do? Craft guns? Why bother? People just buy them.
Again, i do wish i could like this, but i just can't get past this so uneven gameplay. :-(

I'm starting to have fun as I get to know the maps. I do agree that so far BO3 was more fun although BO3 grew on me a lot to the point where it's one of my favorites now. IW is definitely more stressful as you basically are always vulnerable if you like to run around, like I do. I agree the maps are very intersecting and confusing. Lots of spots to traverse from one "path" to the other.
To learn the maps, Frontline is a very predictable game mode. Enemy always spawns on one end or the other.
They really could have made a more addicting loot style element if salvage was more readily doled out and if the "crafting" part of it was less linear and more interesting. Like, you could craft from a mix of options instead of just opening the next unlock. Maybe they were worried about people mixing and matching some sort of game breaking gun or something. I mean they could still sell COD points to all the suckers if they wanted to skip the grind, even if they did that.

I'm running Ghost,Cold Blooded, and Hardwired at all times. That, plus better map knowledge and weapons has improved my play. By improved, of course I mean I pick a nice spot for my tent and toast S'mores.

PC: first impression: IW: 2/10, 2: as we have "guns", +1, and there are "maps", +2. a complete FAIL, not worth buying, waste of any time of yr life. wtf is dat? it is not even close to what might happen in the future, if we forget COD as a FPS for a while. and I remember complaints abt MW3 or Ghosts or AW ... try MWR, if no interest - forget COD' 2016. .... going back to work on my MW3/Ghosts stats.
