First off, the infamous cone in the wall. A game the night before: Vokain before equipping the nuke: Now for the nuke proof: Results of nuke: Awwwww Panacheful, you are on the other team! You're back! My last game of the night:

Yay for pics!!! Double Yay for "THERE'S A CONE IN THE WALL!"
Also as a way of gauging the success of these outings... My W/L before this started was 0.47. As of right now it's 0.91.

Great pics. You all see the kind of fun we're having?
Speaking of which, I'm gonna go with 8pm ET this week, I think 7pm was a little early.

man, doesn't that make you want to get a PVR now? I'm looking forward to Saturday! oh and oxirun, you missed the gamebattles we had today! We played against sXc or something, and they were pretty good, undefeated so far. First set of three was 4-2 us, 3-4 them, and a 4-3 clutch by yours truly. the next team was an easy cinch.

Yeah, these events will definitely help my W/L.
I think SCB forgot to mention that I joined a private match mid-game, not realizing it was shotgun only, and then I thought I was amazing because I was wrecking with a UMP.
You guys might motivate me to put a Nuke setup back on. I haven't gone for one since I got the emblem for 10.

We got four of us together last night and tried the Sabotage Rush. I think it was partly just bad luck (we managed to draw another clan that actually tried to plant the bomb, although they didn't rush quite as hard as we did), but you really do need all 6 players rushing for that to succeed. We had one guy kind of floating around and doing his thing, but another guy was tactical loitering HARD. Every time I died and was spectating waiting to respawn, he was lying prone in some random patch of grass on some random part of the map. I gave him nonstop crap, basically just a steady stream of "hey _______, pick it up, come on now, you realize the objective is to plant the bomb, right? How about you help us plant? Hey, how are things going in the grass? Because we could sure use your help trying to plant this bomb", that sort of stuff. He eventually got pissed enough to send me a message to "shut tha fuk up" (sic). I'm definitely not up for trying that again unless we can get the full 6.

I think there were a couple things going on with that. First, that guy really didn't help anything. They're running the bomb back along the cliff and he's tactical loitering the cave entrance. Second, I freely admit I'm pretty bad in a standup firefight, so I feel almost useless when they have the bomb.
Also, I don't know if this happens to anybody else, but when they have the bomb, the giant Kill marker updates so infrequently that it's useless. I have to assume that the runner is 30ft ahead of where it says he is.
I also think that when I played it on Highrise, it was very difficult to cap because enemies were either spawning in the back of the building, or they had multiple routes in. In Afghan, it seemed like we were spawning either at the base of the cliff or at the bunker, and it seemed like it was going to be impossible to dig those guys out once they were entrenched at the bomb. You don't know if they're hiding on the sides, in the small bunker, by the plane, in the poppies, wherever.
Overall I just don't think we did a good job of communicating. Even in Demolition it seemed like we failed because the enemy was defending the objective with people spaced out all along attack routes. You expect there will be a guy tactical loitering in the room, you don't expect a guy on the rocks here, in the window there, or with a sniper rifle along the way. We didn't do any of that. Again, i feel responsible because I can't aim for shit, if I'm up on the roof I'm doing nothing, so I have to be the guy in the room with the claymores.
One thing I would like to try would be a variation of the sabotage rush. When I grabbed the bomb, I hadn't seen anybody so I just turned around and ran it up the cliff side, made it to the bomb and got shot down by guys tactical loitering there hidden. I didn't feel comfortable taking it through the cave, and I probably should have waited on the cliff for some more backup. What I'd like to explore though, is doing the same sort of thing where one person takes the bomb and runs right and circles to the objective that way, while someone else with a silenced UMP runs left and shoots up the objective room from behind, using the giant Kill marker as a distraction. That needs to be coordinated though with regular status reports, both from carrier team and stealth team. And it probably wouldn't hurt to keep that one guy back home with the C4 in case it all goes sour.

I've played Sabotage quite a bit on Gamebattles, and the tactic that tends to work best is clearing out the spawn and then getting players into that spawn, so that the enemy won't just spawn there again. So in Highrise, you might get a quick four down, and get a couple of guys to watch the spawns while you're planting. You do definitely need to be getting at least three or four down before going for the plant.
When you're defending, there's no need at all to push up. Even if you're struggling to win head-to-head fights, sit in a corner and wait for them to walk past you. That won't work every time if you're not sure which way the bomb carrier has gone, but if everyone on the team is doing it, one person will get them.
It's easier said than done, and the more people you have communicating the better, obviously. You won't be able to get a quick four down after every attack... sometimes you just have to wait for that bit of luck when your team gets a few quick kills and then take your opportunity. Mindlessly rushing the bombsite rarely works, in my competitive and public experience.

If you want to be good at sabotage, you HAVE to spawn trap, and if you arent able to spawn trap you will get wrecked. If we have full team it should be no problem

I got on late (it was my wife's birfday, so I did stuff with her because it beats sleeping on the couch), so I missed the main group. However, I did manage to hook up with SCB, iNOOBTOOB, Night, and two of my non-Den friends. We started with some Ground War, which went well (6-1), but which was hella frustrating (I had a 5-19 match Dom match on Scrapyard and an 8-22 Dom match on Terminal just from mindlessly throwing myself on the flags and getting tubed/RPG'd to death). After we agreed that ground war was a bit too rage-inducing, whether we were winning or not, we backed out and started some regular Domination. And believe me when I tell you that it was Domination. We went 17-2 in Dom, and one of those losses was a game where we trailed 197 to 198 and held two flags to their one, but their flag just happened to tick first. At the end of the night, though, we got in a lobby with some n00bs and kill campers and we just DEMOLISHED them. I'm talking 200-22. No joke, no exaggeration, that was the ACTUAL FINAL SCORE OF ONE OF THE MATCHES. It was on Rundown, and we started by having 1 person cap C, four people cap B, and the last person run around to A and cap it behind their backs. Then whoever it was at A (I believe it was NOOBTOOB) went all rambo and basically held the enemy off single-handedly until the score was 54-4. After that, I watched B and C while all 5 other guys on our team fought a pitched battle over A. A couple of the other team slipped around and tried to take C (which I'd C4'd) or B (which I was watching with my Raffi from the sniper perch above it), but mostly they just fought their hearts out for A. It was ludicrous. I didn't think it was POSSIBLE to win a Domination match 200-22. I figured you got 50 points just for showing up.
We also had a 200-72 game on Estate which was essentially a 5-on-5 because there were some boosters in the game with us (the guy on their team called in 2 Harriers, 2 Pave Lows, and 2 AC-130s, but we shot it all down pretty much instantly). The 200-72 game would have been a personal best if it hadn't been for that 200-22 beatdown we'd just dropped. I mean, we're talking total massacre.
We actually won a half dozen games or so by 100+ point margins, against multiple teams across multiple lobbies. It was a freaking bloodbath. My k/d ratio went up almost a full tenth of a point from 1.317 to 1.411.

Now that this is taking off and we're getting 11 people or more to show up, I'd like one or two people to volunteer to lead lobbies. Preferably they should be people who have a few hours blocked out. Ground War is fine but the interface of the whole system just feels clunky. I think we spent 20 minutes last night before we even got in a game because people kept showing up and then dropping out to pick them up, or worrying that the 8-9 people are actually in the lobby and not on the other team.
What I'd like to do is once we have 9 people, for someone and 5 others to branch off and form their own lobby of 6, and then me and the two remaining can pick up any others that come online. I think that will keep things simplest if people know that I'm the one to approach about getting into a game because I'm most likely to have a spot. The other lobby leader can always send me a message saying they have a spot and I can direct someone over.
I think we should try that for a week at least and see how it plays out. Any volunteers?

The night for me started off with Vokian, SCB, and NOVA in some CTF. Then we played some private shotgun only FFA's. Some people started leaving so we played Ground War. Then I had to go eat and stuff and when I came back I joined SCB, NOOBTOOB, ssog and friends. The 200-21 game: The last game of the night on estate: The 200-21 Game is rendering right now.

For some reason that most recent batch of pics isn't working for me...
Anyway, I somehow ended up in the Vokain/Oxiclan SnD splinter group, which was also fun, although I would have liked to get in on some of those beatdowns, too...

If you want to be good at sabotage, you HAVE to spawn trap, and if you arent able to spawn trap you will get wrecked. If we have full team it should be no problem Night, Infinity and I usually just grab bomb, rush, and kill people that are in the way, and it works out every single time. People don't expect you to go for the plant in the first minute, and they're caught off guard.

Hey here is the game (My view point isn't very interesting.) I recommend going to the actual page because it is much better in HD.

For some reason that most recent batch of pics isn't working for me... Anyway, I somehow ended up in the Vokain/Oxiclan SnD splinter group, which was also fun, although I would have liked to get in on some of those beatdowns, too... Those beatdowns came late in the evening, after you'd already left for the night. We had open spots (trapoo in the 200-21 match was a random), so if you'd have been on I would have hit you with an invite. Also, the YpK guys in the last picture were boosters (obviously), but luckily they were running Harrier/Pavelow/AC-130 instead of Harrier/AC-130/Nuke. I switched to my AA class full time and pretty much had a field day shooting down air support. I took out two Harriers, a Pave Low, and an AC-130, while someone else managed to steal the killshot from me on the second Pave Low and AC-130. Hey here is the game (My view point isn't very interesting.) I recommend going to the actual page because it is much better in HD. Heh, your PoV was far more interesting than mine. I used my Riot Shield/Raffica class and camped the sniper building above B, covering both the B and C flag (the other team was too stupid to try anything other than capping A). During the course of the match I got 4 kills from stupid people trying to cap B without looking up first, 2 more kills from marginally less stupid people who tried to slip behind me to C but didn't check for C4 first, and another 4 kills from my Predator/Harrier. Anyway, thanks for taking the trouble to keep evidence of these matches. I would have been really sad if all evidence of that Rundown match disappeared down the memory hole so quickly. And as I said during the match, you guys who were capping/holding A are my heroes. That's pretty crazy being able to hold a flag so close to their spawn and so far from yours. I also chuckled at how the video starts with "I'm a hardcore camper" out of the blue. Sugar had just said that he loves playing with campers who watch the flags because he's a hardcore run-n-gunner, and I responded with "well, I love playing with run-n-gunners to cap the flags because I'm a hardcore camper". Also, I swear I wasn't the only person talking all match, just the only person talking so obnoxiously loudly I could be heard over gunfire and harriers.

That seems like a solid idea. My only concern is that some people might not want to play the same gametype as the rest of the group. Possibly one lobby could be objective and one could be kill based (TDM or Search)
Since i wont be home until about 9, I probably wouldnt be the best option to lead a lobby. I can say pretty confidently that vokain would be able to though (just speculating though)
