They just see one problem with CoD Ghosts (maps to big, to much hiding)...and then direct all resources to solving just one issue. Now maps are smaller, there is no hiding. No thought to overall gameplay flow. That's not how the development cycle works. AWs movement mechanics and maps were probably completed long before Ghosts was released, and said problems became prominent. AW can be viewed more as a successor to MW3, as the release of that game is when AWs development began (Ghosts also began development when MW3 was released, but had a tighter schedule of 2 years, versus AW having 3)

But...
it doesn't take much tweaking in the coding of the game, to emphasis certain elements you want to avoid. SH most certainly heard and saw the complaints of CoD Ghosts a full ten months before AW hit the shelves. It wouldn't have been hard for them, if they wanted to further stomp down Ghost's problems...to simply make adjustments to spawns, game speeds, boost speeds, to further emphasize the style of play they wanted. This stuff is controlled and tested down to the millisecond.
Think on what I am saying there. Developers already do the above, on the fly as it is, with guns. They want certain playstyles emphasized? They simply put in a patch on a few weeks notice, and make people alter their playstyle. This happens ALL THE TIME. It's not a stretch to think, with a full eight to nine months from release, SH might have started pushing/emphasizing gameplay in a certain way, tweaking their coding.

Some good points IW. I do miss how there are no solid lines being drawn(varies by map). My flanking now has this big gray area where predicting enemy encounters is harder. Also the penalty for dying is so much less. Note: all based on TDM.
And I want C4 back!

If i seem angry tonight, it's because this game is a pile of shit, after downloading some update (not sure if it was today's or yesterday's). Good lord, this game plays like dog ass right now. Completely frame jittering in almost every game. Scratch that. It was in EVERY GAME. Like every game. Finally, on my 5th TDM game, didn't even make it to the end. Just raged quit right out. Got killed over the by the far side on the map Retreat. Then respawned all the way over by the cave side spawn. Ok. Then literally walked only 3', only to be shot in the back by someone standing right behind the spawn.Nice fvcking spawns.
Oh yeah. Then tried to played Dom solo. Searched for a game. 'No Games Found'. 9:30pmET, a weekday, and apparently the player population is so low on this game, it can't find a lobby while playing Domination. Yes, finally did find one, but it took almost five minutes. Really?
Fvck Micheal Condrey. Maybe this fag will spend more time making tweets about KD ratios again this weekend, while ignoring real problems with this game, not to mention big problems like how the XB1 party system is still completely Foxtroted up.
I try so hard to like this game, but it just does no favors to anyone.

Whether Treyarch's making Black Ops 3, World at War 2, or something else entirely, the game won't be at its best unless they fix their notoriously awful hit detection.
It's the only thing that's really holding them back.

The only time I've ever felt a difference in hit detection is Ghosts, which actually felt like it had better hit detection. Maybe it was just the generally faster killing guns or something.

Even "random bullet" increased skill-cap to some degree. And having no lag compensation definitely allows better players to excel since it's another variable to worry about. Not that I think it should be removed.. but they aren't wrong.

Well Ghosts stole the Bane airplane scene from Dark Knight Rises so I'm not surprised.
And I guess Exos won't be back because that's basically a more primitive version of robot replacement parts. We'll still have Exo abilities like Stim and Overclock I think but definitely no boost jumping and dodging.
