-There’s an Occupied DZ - where the “gloves are off”

-New Grey Rogue state - won’t be broadcast but flags you as untrustworthy
-Friendly fire is turned on in one of the DZ’s
-There are ‘Monuments’ in the DZ, as opposed to ‘Landmarks’
-PvP - Conflict Mode, which includes Skirmish, Team Deathmatch and Domination game types.
-In Skirmish mode each team has a set number of respawns.
-Conflict Mode has a separate progression system for gear unlocks, skill levelling and class upgrades.
There are more than one way to go Rogue, one of which you don't have to fire a single bullet. The GREY option is pretty interesting.
There are also scanned in photos in The Division Elite's FB page of the UK PlayStation mag with Dark Zone details. Also something about a "Conflict" mode (Not sure if that's DZ or not).

The Dark Zone in #TheDivision2 is straight up out of a horror movie. It's quiet, lonely, and sad. It'll make you feel as uneasy as possible and make you want to keep to your squad mates close at all times. The Atmosphere is actually unreal.

Bungie will make a beautiful looking, beautiful sounding, gorgeous game... whether it's in 4k, 8k, ten million 80p... whatever Bungie will make, it will be awesome visually and sounding. No one, should ever doubt that. That will only go so far if other features of the game aren't up to scratch. Plus there are games out there that were never the best for graphics or audio for their day and still are popular because there are other factors players enjoy from them. What I meant to say was that, of all the concerns, questions and hesitations that one, even a self-exile like me, should have... Bungie making a beautifully sounding and looking game, is not one of them

That just means if/when Bungie screws up their shills can't point the finger at Activision. Plus, Bungie are going to have to manage finance really well if they wish to self-publish and how are they going to do that? More microtransactions? I agree wholeheartedly... the safety is off the gun and the net is pulled from the trapeze line for Bungie. They have no one to turn to if they pull another Curse of Osiris or Festival of the Cost. I really hope they do turn it around, but I think this move will backfire on them. But hey, I've been wrong before

You mean, keep the knife how it is, but be able to get a 2hk knife through loot boxes, or a 1hk knife through platinum loot boxes? Let's have a shotgun that shoots explosive rounds like the USAS-12 in BF3, but the explosive rounds are lootboxes that explode into more lootboxes. As for it being a panic reaction, that's pretty much how it goes for twitch shooters. It's the same thing with dropshotting. You mean, keep the knife how it is, but be able to get a 2hk knife through loot boxes, or a 1hk knife through platinum loot boxes?

I mean.... the only way to NOT have microtransactions is to out-Battlefront Battlefront by making them SO blatantly excessive and so blatantly intrinsic to success that even EA would blush.
That way, the "law" or the public would step in, riot, and you could re-release your game without MT and maybe people would come back to you, seeing that "you've changed"
But that might be like wanting to renovate your bathroom/k-it-ch-e-n/house, so you burn down your house and hope you don't get charged with insurance fraud and/or arson.

No food for thought... Mousey is right: you wouldn't even be given the opportunity of having the option of doing it... you just would put it in your game or your game wouldn't see the light of day. Especially at EA or Activision.
You might get away with making really cool cosmetic $hit so it's actually worth paying for at Ubisoft tho...

More weapons stuff released today copy and pasta'd via redditNew Weapon Category: “Rifles”These Semi-Automatic Weapons are what you would find in real life when you would scavenge Washington. The new Rifle category is between Marksmen Rifles (long distance, big kicks, slow fire) and Assault Rifles (Fully automatic). Rifles are fast-firing but semi-automatic, so you have to click for each shot. Rifles will have their own balancing that should also make them more viable and they also have their unique talents that fit their handling. This new Category was introduced, because in The Division 1 some weapons would not really fit in the Marksmen Rifles or the Assault Rifles Category and now they can shine and be viable. This category will contain existing weapons that will get moved into the new category (M1A for example), but also new ones. LVOA-C will also be in the Rifle Category. Exotic Weapons (Gear)The Exotic Weapons will get a unique look that will also have a story attached to them They want Exotics to have an impact in The Division 2 because in The Division 1 they were more niche but not necessarily better than the other weapons. You will only be able to carry 1 Exotic Weapon and 1 Exotic Gear Piece at the same time on an agent That will give you a choice what Exotic you want to carry and they will also have a big impact when you use them (more fun and rule breaking) That also confirms Exotic Gear in The Division 2 but this was not explored here Exotics will have unique Talents There will also be a system, that allows you can take Exotics with you over your endgame progression and that also makes them a long-term companion There will be all new Exotic Items – no old ones will be reused Exotic Bolt-action Rifle is also confirmed Exotic Leaver Action Weapons can also be an option. Weapon Pool Some of the Exotic Weapons in The Division 1 will become normal weapons in The Division 2 (The House / Devil for example) P90 was also confirmed Mods are UnlockablesWeapon Mods are no longer loot drops, they are unlockables – once you have them, you will keep them and they will not use up any inventory space. You get one mod and you can use it on multiple weapons simultaneously They have positive and negative impact on your weapon, so you have to decide how you want to play and then build your mods around that. (Extended magazine gives you more bullets but also slower reload speed for example) This positive / negative should bring more diversity in terms of builds, because it is more personal and less best-in-slot like in The Division 1 It will also take longer to unlock these mods, but you will have a journey to unlock them. The goal is to keep is as diverse and deep as in The Division 1. Weapon TalentsA High-End Weapon was used as an example. It still has 3 Weapon Talents but these Talents have new mechanics: There will be more Weapon Talents than in The Division 1 Weapon Talents will have categories and you can only have one of each category on your weapon: Active TalentsActive Talents do something when you do an action. Landing a head-shot for example and you will also have an augmented reality information on your gun that tells you, if the talent is currently active or not. Handling/Characteristic TalentHandling/Characteristic Talent (Range, reload speed, swap speed, walk speed while aiming e.t.c.) have an impact on how you handle the weapon and they are interesting gameplay wise. Holstered TalentsHolstered Talent will still be active when your weapon is holstered. So it will give you a buff when you don’t even use the weapon. That means, you can constantly profit from 2 passive buffs from your two holstered weapons. (Skill buffs / damage buffs etc) That means that you not only have to consider the active talents when you use the weapon, but you also have to keep an eye on your holstered weapons, because in The Division 2 more Talents will be active at the same time. Currently they are not sure if the Holstered Talent will also be active when you use the weapon. All this should make the weapons fun to use, but the weapons-trio will also have a big impact on your performance as an agent. This is still work in progress, so some naming and mechanics could still be changed, but this is the road they are going. You sound like Datto and other Destiny only Youtube streamers. Well if that is really your mindset (whatever somebody tell me, if they are positive on Destiny I will disregard their statement as fanboys, even though I won't try the game myself) why are you in this destiny part of the boards? I don't want to be rude, but that is a mindset I don't expect to come across on these boards. P.s. Datto is pretty objective imho, but there are others which are not. It's not... I mean, I'm not as positive about Destiny as I once was... but go back and watch the videos... it's a standard cycle of the community that whenever a DLC came out in D1, that what I said is pretty much what is said. I mean, if the Datto/Youtuber line hurt your feelings, sorry about that.
