gosh darn golly gee whiz! I knew people were wrong when they said the MK14 was a complete laser! well, I tried to shoot MK14 at 200 rpm ... (delays between shots 0.3 sec) ... (I added that screenshot to the 1st post as well)

Verified:
All machine pistols and handguns - excluding FMG9 - receive penalty for using Akimbo: decreased ROF. Non-Akimbo FMG9 fires at the same ROF as Akimbo. (905 rpm)
See details in the first post.

hmmm, yes, that is true ... 200 rpm is a bit too low ... really .... I oversimplified ... /anyone killed online with that PM-9 version would be shocked ... you can snipe with that ..../ Thanks for all your work on this, wwa. no problem, I received a lot of usefull info from this forum, time to do something for the community ... btw1: I use this thread a lot for myself... added to my favourites ... btw2: I consider some MW2 ROF tests as well ...

btw2: I consider some MW2 ROF tests as well ... Great, I did some tests as well and got different results than the ones in Den's chart. For example, the AK-47, RPD and M4A1 had the exact same rate of fire in both MW1 and MW2.

I've checked NoobMG9 akimbo and non-akimbo myself, using fraps with 91 FRS + Sony Vegas Pro, and it seems that akimbo NoobMG9 still has a better ROF, than non-akimbo one. I think my results are very unaccuate (akimbo - 1136 RPM (D:), non-akimbo (with Ext. Mags) - 999 RPM; MP7 with Ext. Mags - 827 RPM). Also, I've noticed that on-line akimbo NoobMG9 have less ROF, so it can be a bug from dedicated server.

Can you test the rpm of the akimbo weapons after the nerf? I know I've heard people saying the PC didn't get the hotfix yet but 402 said all platforms got it.

PC doesn't get hotfixes, you'll have to wait for our numbers until the new Title Update.

I got a playlist update or something that I had to download in game rather than through steam yesterday or the day before.

Can you test the rpm of the akimbo weapons after the nerf? Sure, I am interested as well. Just after any game update/patch I’ll test ALL weapons again.

Type 95 and M16A4 ....
delay between 2 shots: 1st shot of the 2nd burst AND 1st shot of the 1st burst
Type 95: 0,400 sec Type 95 + RF: 0,364 sec
M16A4: 0,440 sec. M16A4 + RF: 0,400 sec.
framerate=91.

without any evidence I do not believe Type 95 ROF is 1000 rpm and M16: 780rpm.
any idea how to verify 1-burst ROF?

without any evidence I do not believe Type 95 ROF is 1000 rpm and M16: 780rpm. any idea how to verify 1-burst ROF? Well, if you know with certainty how long the delay between bursts is, it's pretty easy. Do we know that? Past that - is there a way to have two players fire at the exact same time? If so, you could have one player fire a burst weapon and one fire another weapon at a third player, change the rate of fire for the other weapon, and see where the cut-off is for which weapon gets the kill. For example, player 1 has a Type 95, player 2 has a PP90M1. They both start firing at player 3 at the exact same time. At time 0, the Type 95 will do 55 damage and the PP90M1 will do 42, and so whichever bullet hits next will kill. If the PP90M1 gets the kill when fired at 1010 RPM and the Type 95 gets the kill when the PP90M1 is fired at 990 RPM, then you know that the Type 95 fires between those two speeds. Of course, I have no idea if this is possible to do, I'm just talking theory here.

> Well, if you know with certainty how long the delay between bursts is, it's pretty easy. Do we know that? I do not know. I think I saw that delay between bursts is 0.2 sec (cod.wiki); 1 burst lasts 3 x delay between shots so we have: Type 95: 900 rpm 0,4 = 0,2 + 3 * Delay Delay = 0,2/3 = 0,066 sec = 900 rpm M16A4: 750 rpm 0,44 = 0,2 + 3 * Delay Delay = 0,24/3 = 0,08 sec = 750 rpm if RF does not change that Delay=0.2 sec (after cod.wiki: callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Rapid_Fire ) Type95+RF: 1097 rpm M16A4: 900 rpm Practical ROF (incl. 0.2 sec delay):edit: 22-05-2012: results deleted, some errors in calculations.

Depends on whether the delay is 2 seconds after the third bullet is fired, or it's 2 seconds from the time when the fourth bullet would be fired. If it's 2 seconds from when the third bullet is fired as you said, then the RPM is even slower - for Type 95 it's 600, 732 with rapid fire.

FMG9 + Akimbo patched , 2 x 36 rounds fired in 2,700 sec. 2 x 777 rpm [before 1.4.713 ver: 2 x 905 rpm] Hm… It means it's about 800—850 RPM (MP5's RoF, according to your tests, is 776 RPM) in real? Not bad, but they're still OP.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the ACR in this video is firing way faster than normal?

That video was uploaded on Nov 11th 2011. ACR was patched later; it fired at arr 750-770 rpm, now it is 678 rpm.
