Mine came in yesterday and I haven't had any hardware troubles with it yet. I use logitech g700s and g510.
I'm impressed with the smart translator tech, but I have a few concerns. Maybe some of the veteran xim users can help me.
First, I set my hip fire and ads sensitivity to the 2.4 ratio, but I feel like my ads sensitivity is too low compared to my hip fire. I want to increase it but that means I'll have to add the ads delay which I wanted to avoid. If I had like a 200ms delay, will it affect quick draw smgs the same way it affects stock lmgs?
Second, what is a good button setup for grenades and specialist? I have mine setup as q and e, so that I have quick access to the ripper knife if needed. But it doesn't feel very optimal. I tried mouse buttons but I don't like the feel and placement of my buttons.
Overall, I'm happy with the xim4. I've always been more of a console shooter so I feel like this thing isn't helping my performance right now. But I know the benefits that a mouse and kb provide so I'll use this game as practice for pc shooters.

Forced to go all old yeller on my Scuff and send it to the grave.. Coming up on 10 months and the controller decides to shit the bed. R1 is only usable when applying pressure a bear trap rivals. Left thumb stick is following the same path as the R1.. Growing up on PC FPS (Quake, Unreal Tournament, Counter-Strike), decided to splurge and pick up an XIM. Any recommendations for Mouses, Keypad The G502 is recommended a lot. I use it and love it. Works great, good button placement. I picked up a Sony Nav wand for my left hand but with the beta firmware (required for the new XBone controller with the mic adapter built in) that doesn't work, so I just use the controller in my left hand. I had to move around some of my preferred keybindings to accommodate using the game's default controls for the left side of the stick, but I got used to it. In other words that is a long way of saying I don't know which KB would be best. Bought one the other day just to try it out. I'm having a lot of problems with it so far. First, it uses calibration/setup software that only works 1/4 of the time. It worked initially, but after setting it up for a single game, it hasn't worked since which means I can't change my sensitivity (since it recommends that you use max in-game sensitivity and max DPI) or key binds. I've tried everything that their website suggests including un and reinstalling the firmware and software, nothing has helped. It still says that the software can't connect to the hardware even though they're paired by bluetooth (and sometimes it won't even work when it's plugged in by USB). Also, even though I'm using hardware that is explicitly compatible with the XIM (Razer DeathAdder Chroma & a generic Insignia keyboard), it sometimes will not pick up that the devices are even plugged in and I'll either have to unplug and then plug them back in or more often I'll have to completely restart my console and the software. The worst part of it is, the XIM has an input lag of about a frame or two (very noticeable) that I can't seem to fix. The best I can get from their support is to make sure that all my settings on my monitor are correct which of course, they are. So, I would think twice about getting this. If you really can't stand a controller then it might be a viable option for you but other than that, I would suggest not getting it. Are you PS4 or Xbone? I had some problems with the xim manager updating, but once I got over that hump everything seems to work. I am using the beta firmware for the Xbone. Try totally deleting all of your phone's bluetooth cache, i.e. make your phone re-discover the xim entirely. Mine came in yesterday and I haven't had any hardware troubles with it yet. I have higher ADS sensitivity and do not ever notice any delay.

This was the ADS delay I was referring to: xim4.com/community/index.php?topic=25718.msg309934#msg309934Looks like my question was answered in that thread. I noticed my aim jumped around a lot as I was turning and ADSing at the same time when I had my ratio at 1:1. I'll test out a couple different delay options under 200ms and see the difference between QD SMG and Stock LMG. Hopefully I find something I like because I don't like this super slow ADS speed atm.

If I had like a 200ms delay, will it affect quick draw smgs the same way it affects stock lmgs? Yes. What I do is I simply set the ADS profile to the same sensitivity and have no delay. On every platform, ADS sensitivity is a product of the magnification and thus this provides the most similar experience. If you want a sniper sensitivity, you can assign another button to trigger that.
