Okay so here's a question. You sign up for beta and register your platform and then get 3 download codes. Can you share those to get friends in the beta and if so do they only work for the platform you registered or can the 3 be different platforms? Here's what I'm getting at. My bro's got a PS4 and preordered the game and all that jazz. I don't have a PS4... yet. But I'm planning to get one. Still if it would work maybe I could use a code on my PS3 to play the beta with my bro if he doesn't mind slumming it with me on last-gen. It doesn't sound to me like this will work, though... I don't think it will work, because you have to select platform/region and lock in first, and then get the download codes. So the codes must be bound to the platform/region of your choosing. Why don't you preorder then get download codes yourself? I believe that it is still not too late to do that. This way you can give your bro a PS3 code and he can play on both platforms. |

Unconfirmed info about what's included in the beta: www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2ajrfo/details_on_the_beta_4_story_chapters_d/4 story chapters (alpha has one) 1 strike mission (same as alpha?) 4 MP maps (alpha has 2, IGN has videos for what all 4 look like) "huge" open world to explore (hopefully bigger than alpha) I am also hopeful that beta has high level caps than alpha So XONE has 5 days of beta. I will try to play 3 - 4 days at least and dedicate at least one day for each class |

Do you not have to state your Gamertag on Bungie's site? Got a code by preordering from Amazon, the final day to get one from them. This is what they owe me for delivering Black Ops 2 a few days late (ended up going to Tesco on launch day after the postie left).
Edit: Linked my Gamertag in addition to my email address anyway, just in case.

Sounds like it could be like dropzone PS+ was assumed, but it is nice to see that people who don't have it can still play the beta, just not the Crucible. Personally I am not a vehicle fan so I am not very interested in Combined Arms either. However, in Halo days there are plenty of players who love vehicular combat so my guess is that this is going to be a popular game mode as well. Salvage's description is pretty vague. Other than dropzone style, it can also be any of the objective game modes below: a) CoD style Domination (3 relics to be captured and defended). Unlikely since they already have Control; b) One relic to be fought by the 2 teams, the player who picks it up becomes "VIP" with waypoint over his head; etc. |
