And what distance, exactly, were these shotguns effective in CQC? Pissing range? The range at which you could follow your shot with a melee. Pretty much. Shotgun blast followed by melee is a typical combo. If you need a bit more range, you should consider Fusion Rifle (on a related note: from a shotty player point of view, is Fusion Rifle that different? I would imagine an effective shotty player can use Fusion Rifle very well)

Check those shotgun nerf notes again. It sounds to me like they'll actially be nerfing the range upgrades that are unlockable on some of them. I think it's Hawk who has a shotgun with two range upgrades. I expect that is what is getting nerfed (or even possibly removed).

Also, don't scrap the Thorn or the Bad Juju if you are disappointed with their performance. They will be getting some love. Six more rounds and a decent increase in impact would make Bad Juju atleast competitive.

I'd say it's a bit harder, but with greater reward.

Hallilujah!!! If they're committed to that I may just hang on to any purple engrams I get for now rather than play lotto with that bastard the Cryptarch... Though that could be circumventing Bungie's desired rarity so they may do something to make stockpiled purple engrams not as valuable as they will be once they are guaranteed to drop purple items. I dunno. But I'm a ways out from hitting anything like 27 and the loot cave is dead so it's not really a problem. I'll prolly just work on faction so I can purchase purples from NPC's.

These changes guarantee that Engrams will always decode into items at or above the quality of an engram. So they fixed the loot cave but not the other glitch wheree the Hive fights the Fallen en-masse with both factions being invincible towards the end?

Lol that is not a glitch. That is how it is meant to be. If you become a higher level they are all killable, but I often die during a war, even with high lvl characters.

So you have to be level 30? I have a Hunter level 28 and last I tried they were not taking any damage whatsoever.
Edit: I might have killed them once when I was with four other people but they do seem to be rather too strong considering I can kill Preatorians quicker.

I haven't noticed any of them being completely unkillable on my level 20 warlock, although some definitely are very difficult.
Some of the shielded ones will show "resist" or something when you hit them with a weapon that doesn't match their shield's element, but I think they do still take some damage. I have noticed that I don't get damage numbers when I see "resist" but if I keep firing I do seem to still do damage, and once the shield is finally down they're not such a problem.
Definitely not a glitch, in fact that's my favorite thing in Skywatch! ;3

Yeah but enemies in the weekly missions are easier to kill and this Skywatch thing is in standard play so lower level players will be exposed to this.

A few changes unlisted I have noticed:
Shards are colour coded as legendary gear now. Players who pick up Ascendant Shard and Energy have this mentioned on the screen as you already do when you pick up a legendary engram. Players who revive dead ghosts aslo have this notification in-game it appears.

I've been having a ton of disconnects, so I'm glad to see this update coming. Might be on my end through. If you're on wifi, I would recommend testing switching to wired. I was having issues with disconnects until I made this switch, which is weird because I have not had this problem with any other devices, and the router is 6 inches from my PS4.

Knock on wood, but I didn't have any disconnects yesterday after installing the patch.
This past weekend I had it happen to me numerous times, and it was always the "removed from game world" error message.
