Any idea how the EMP3 overheat works? EM1 has plenty of heat capacity, so it doesnt matter.. EMP3 though, its like 6 shots and youre done..?

Honestly, the only two things wrong with the gun are the muzzle flash and the movement speed. If it were a normal AR, it would be quite a good little semi auto. The damage profile and fire rate are stellar.

90% move speed, and total removal of the crazy muzzle flash and "laser trail" would be huge. However, it needs to lose the idle sway, too. And, slower overheat.
I mean, this gun is literally, (as far as I can remember), the worst gun in Call of Duty, since CoD4.
It has nothing going for it. It's weak, slow, terrible visiblity.
Weak: "zero ammo", only a 3hk, bad headshot multi, semi auto, immense recoil
The MK14 may be the second worst gun in CoD history.. despite having a lot less crippling flaws than the EMP3, it still has low ammo, is unbelievably weak (almost always a 4HK), still has more recoil than the rest of the guns in the game, and has too low of a firerate cap.
Whoever designed these two weapons should be fired. They clearly haven't the slightest clue how to work with numbers, or have critical thinking skills.

In pre-release trailers, the EPM was shown very briefly and I thought it was a sniper rifle. That would be wicked sick. Laser sniper.
...you know, like Halo.
Again, I would change the EPM by giving it the same damage profile as the MW3 Mk14.

I noticed a few errors in the chart for the Pytaek Loophole and Magnified. Both have handling penalties, but the chart shows those attributes as bonuses. The Tac-19 Bangstick shows a hipspread bonus, but it's actually a penalty.

Not errors: the Loophole definitely has tighter hip spread. Then what do you do to the MK14? Its still awful CoD4 M14 damage profile. And give it standard AR hip spread. The EPM should obviously be stronger than the Mk14 since the EPM has worse handling.

Ideally, I see it as the BO2 SMR versus the FAL. The MK14 should be low recoil, higher fire cap, but comes at the expense of a much smaller 2HK range. The EPM3 feels hefty. Should probably have the same characteristics as it is now (maybe even a lower 600rpm fire cap) but be a 2HK out to some pretty far distances. At least the length of the long middle room in Terrace.

This would be my preference, simply because I like the mk14 animations and looks. However, the emp3 is semi auto, so anything over 700rpm basically says "use me with a modded controller" Also get rid of the Damn idle, or give it to the other guns.

then the snipers are trash relative to it, lol. the perils of having two semi automatic ARs in one CoD.
PS M14 Sport w/ Foregrip is probably the only usable setup. Still bad, but its very low recoil.

What if they made the Mk14 and EPM3 the following?
Mk14: 49-44-35 dmg w/1.4 head and 1.2 neck and chest multipliers and increase the "RPM" 705
EPM3: 55-45-35 dmg w/1.5 head and 1.3 neck and chest multipliers
This way the Mk14 would kill in 2 shots if you get an multiplier shot close range, 2 shots if you get one headshot or 2 neck/chest shots, and would always be 3 shots long range. Meanwhile the EPM3 would be 2 shots close range always, and 2 shots mid range if you get at least one multiplier shot, and 2 shots long range if you get two headshots (which would be near impossible with the EPM3s recoil). Then they could buff the lynx by making it a 1hk to the head, neck, and upper torso and hopefully buff the NA-45 by fixing the primer so it explodes even if one of the shots hits the player or a different surface.

I think MK14 should be 50-48-40 1.03 Belly 1.20 chest/neck 1.40 head
Max damage range:(2HK anywhere) Med damage range:(2HK if one chest/neck/head OR two belly) Min damage range:(2HK if one chest/neck & one head)
Then increase the vertical kick to be like current EMP3
The example you gave I think is still too weak.
EMP3 can Foxtrot itself.. since I'm sure they wont fix the laser trail/muzzle flash, the gun is going to be a piece of crap no matter what, and for that reason, so will the MK14. <3 Sledgehammer.

Why would it be too weak? The main problem with the current Mk14 is that it's a 4HK in mid range and long range. Changing it to a 3HK with likely 2HKs in close range and mid range would make it much more usable.
What if it were the proposed numbers and fire-rate, plus a slight recoil reduction so that with grip it has pretty much no recoil. I'd rather there be a G3 equivalent and a M14 equivalent than just two high damage, high recoil semi-autos.

No, its too weak everywhere. Relying on multipliers is stupid Your adjustments dont make it significantly more likely to 2HK. A weak semi auto just doesnt work in a game like this. It would have worked in BO1, and some other CoDs, but not this one.

And I really can't understand what thermal has to do with anything. Used EPM3 a bunch. MK14 ripped up a few lobbies, enough to see where it stands. My opinion is that everyone forgets that this is a game with higher BTK overall and shrinking down btk as low as they are is wrong. The thermal has always mitigated muzzle flash. It seems a logical next step to have it here for a similar mechanic.
