Oh hell yeah, man! I'll bring Hawkmoon and Corrective Measure. heh heh (Actually I may not bring Corrective Measure, it's only 300 attack unascended... I'll have to compare. It might still be good in IB though.)

You might consider ToO as well. If you buy the boons you can lose half your matches and still wind up with a 5 win ticket, which is good for an armor piece that's 42 light and there are random EL drops. Plus if you do happen to get more wins you might get more EL. It's worth a shot in the dark at least. Hell just run fireborn and that exotic that lets you speed revive if nothing else you can play support.

It's the lag bud.
I could hack the game and get healed whenever I get damaged, and go negative.

I quite like the sound of reduced prices for purchasables and a boost in rep for lower level alt characters (though I wonder if it will still boost rep if all 3 are the same level).

Is it worth nuking the third character and creating it again to grind Etheric Light like Raid players did to get more armour?

If you want to ascend all of your legendary gear as quickly as possible, maybe... but you would have to not only get level 20 but also complete the HoW storyline and PoE level 28 again every time before you can unlock PoE 34 for EL. Plus doing so only gets you two more guaranteed chances for it on PoE 34 and 35. Arguably might be better off just doing ToO unless you've already gone 9-0 in it.

It might be worth it; but would require a high amount of dedication to releveling a new character to 20 over the period the IB was running. Also, if you do it with all 3 characters you already have - that should be 6. 6 seems like plenty to me. Is 2-4 more worth 'nolifing' it for a period of days?
I considered doing the same thing since i don't really use my 3rd character; but was going to do it to keep getting the guaranteed queens key/1st time PoE exotic drop over and over.... Just can't convince myself the grind is worth it....

No I'm thinking of Iron Banner. Here are the steps I'm thinking of:
1. Purchase white gear for character that will soon be nuked 2. Deposit items into the vault to transfer for the next character 3. Nuke character and start another one 4. Get to the Tower and equip those legendaries and exotics in the vault 5. Profit??
Given the rep boost for those with multiple characters, it might be worth considering if there is enough time when all three characters have reached rank 5.

I don't know if the queen's keys are really worth the effort of rebuilding a character, or farming the chests. It's basically just 1 exotic chance and some lesser stuff per key. Most of the chests/completion loot drops from VoG and CE are pretty much just as good. Hell it's probably not much better than a NF.
Of course I say this having gotten a thunderlord, some HoW AR, and assorted guff from a key I used on PoE 32, so who knows.

Just can't convince myself the grind is worth it.... Oh I hadn't thought of that. The story missions are short, so if you can play HoW stories and not bother with the vanilla content then I guess that could be tempting. It takes less time than running Vault of Glass with some of the guys I join, ha. Has it been confirmed that the first exotic chance is guaranteed?

If you can grind up to 20 quickly then regrind through Iron Banner after you've already done it, sure. Sounds like a hell of a time sink to me, though. I'd probably opt to do ToO or PoE instead of delete/grind unless all three characters were capped out on those... but then if they were I'd be rolling in EL. ;3

I think I'll probably won't bother anyway. I've signed up for ToO on Sunday and PoE is a good source but I feel like having one of each character for this activity is a hindrance. Basically having two Titans might be awesome but then there are other parts of the game I'd need and want the other two character anyway. And I'd need to re-max any recreated characters if I wanted to make full use of them.

Equipping the gear will do just that, but you can't equip legendary or exotic stuff until level 20 due to the level requirements on those items, so you have to grind back up to 20.

Glitch still works but I was doing a public event and didn't think it would be deployed as ahead of schedule as it did. So I will have to grind three characters. Going to be more experimental with rocket launchers so I can get some practice for ToO.

It doesn't bother me as much since it only lets you translate your rank from one IB to the next. Even then you can only do it on one character, and unless you go the extra mile your rank will still get reset after so it only saves you ranking up 1 IB out of every 2. (You can actually prevent the reset as well, but I think you might have to not play that character during IB to keep it that way. I'm not sure.)

I was a bit worried heading into this IB as "only" a 32...but seeing that my 318 (now 331) coiled hiss was doing 22-23 on crits and 15 to the body on 34's...
I think I'll be fine.
Also, I think I want that Gheleon's Demise. It's significantly better than my current one.

You can always level up your Exotics to 367 damage. Yup, I did so with my Thorn and Bad Juju, and I'll be ascending most of my other useful exotic weapons as soon as I can.

Sadly I'm short on exotic shards as well as coins for purchasing them, so it will take a good while for me to ascent all my exotics. I'm sure as hell working on it, though. heh
I'm not sharding my NLB, though. heh heh I'm hanging onto it for goofing around in Crucible after IB is over. ;3

And it arrives after the actual reset so only the really determined are still going to glitch it. Played some IB and the bounties are less tedious when dealing with gameplay so that might have made me reach rank 2 on one character for a few hours playing. People like me glitched IB because it was a fairly hefty grind for three characters, plus I still wanted to do some non-IB stuff too. Bungie never lost any gameplay time by me glitching, the time was just spent doing other stuff. However, I will remember to glitch it again if it is possible to get two extra Etheric Light, unless that was a one-off that I missed.

Just came back and looks like I need to milk this IB as much as I can to catch up. Have some quick questions, pardon my ignorance as I have not had time to do extensive reading.
i) To get to level 34:
Question: If I understand correctly, to get to level 34 resource wise I need a) Exotic Shard to upgrade exotic armor to 42 light, b) Armor Core or Etheric Light to upgrade legendard armors to 42 light. Right?
In that case, getting 2 EL from Iron Banner is too good to pass up.
ii) Transferability
Question: I assume that ELs are transferrable from one guardian to another, but Armor Cores are not?
2) Lower level guardian Iron Banner booster
Question: If I have one guardian at level 33 and one at level 32, how much boost can the level 32 get?

Armour cores can also be transferred! having three different characters (opposed to three identicals) is not as much as a hassle it has been in the past!
EL upgrade your current armour (or weapons) Armour core lets you buy one piece of armour per class every week, this week its a helmet. (last week was body armour, first week was gloves)
Both can be transferred.
So just do lvl 32 prison (it is not that hard at all) and iron banner, and you will get an armour piece, two EL, and you will be 34 on everybody.

Yeah. With armor cores there's just not much point in transferring them since he only sells the one armor item per week. You could transfer then hold the core until the next week to buy a different piece, but then you could just run PoE for that core.

Etheric light to upgrade legendary armor to 42 light, correct. Armor Cores are used to buy 42 light PoE armor from Variks in the Reef. This week he has a helmet available with a 124 strength roll. 2 EL from Iron Banner is definitely worth the time investment IMO. ii) Everything is transferable. 2) I think you misinterpreted the lower level thing. It's actually lower IB rank. So if you get one character up to rank 3, your second/third character will receive a buff to rank up quicker until it catches up to the first character. Actual character level doesn't matter. Reddit says the buff for the lower character is DOUBLE rep until it catches up to the highest character. My plan of attack will be to get one character to rank 3, then take advantage of the buff to get my other two characters to rank 3 quickly. Then I'll take whichever character has the most rep at that point all the way up to rank 5 and then play catch-up with the other two characters again. I'm hopeful that I can knock all that out Friday and Saturday, leaving me Sunday for other activities, but we'll see.

I could understand having 3 character of the same class not transferring armor cores... but if you have 3 different classes, it makes, no?

It's the same thing either way. Each character might as well earn and use their own armor core. The only reasons I can see to transfer an armor core is to twink a low level character that cannot run PoE32 yet, if you earn multiple cores on one character, or if you want to save them up to purchase armor on weeks you don't run PoE32+.
