How far in the story are you bradman ? Because I still have to do most of it (and the new subclass skill mission) on my Titan. Sorry about not joining you last night, wasn't expecting to play as long as I did.

So far, I've really enjoyed Forsaken. The reviews were mostly correct I think. The grind is slow and I'm not looking forward to bring dudes #2 and #3 up to speed - considering both have to be carried through all DLC's post vanilla. 'Been Iron bannering which is manageable @505 but can be trying faced with 530+ players. Got the full set of armor (and the IB pulse and Scout) already but it's all lower level than my current gear which means infusing at some point. It does look pretty good though. At least it'll get me the shax powerful engram. Looks like Pulse and Hand Cannons rule PVP again. I like that.

Looks like you can get a Seed of Light from handing in an offering to the Oracle. Going to be fun using the new Arc Super and deflect hammers in the Crucible. I'm sure there are enough Sunbreakers who got fed up with me shutting them down with Blade Barrage.

I'm sure there are enough Sunbreakers who got fed up with me shutting them down with Blade Barrage. I went with the new Arcstrider with my first seed...I don't regret it one bit. I haven't used it in PvP yet, but if it's a ton of fun in PvE, then it should be about the same in PvP.

Anyone still playing on the Xbox side? I haven't played since... uh, maybe March? Been vaguely considering giving it a try. Not sure if it's worth buying the new expansion, though. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I can't say much about Xbox side seeing as I got that sweet no ragrets refund from Microsoft during that Curse of Osiris achievements shitshow. I do see Hebb Prime still hopping on there on my friends list. The Fatso runs a sizable clan on the PC side though I can't really vouch for the members. I don't play enough, just one character around 525 light. But the PC version is pretty fun. Just Destiny isn't that good if you want to spend a lot of time on other games, which I currently do, with more on the way. Also I have completely checked out on Crucible, so knowing that for instance I just won't ever get my Ace of Spades kind of kills the motivation.

Just Destiny isn't that good if you want to spend a lot of time on other games, which I currently do, with more on the way. What are you currently playing and what are your recommendations for what's on the way? Well, my big three haven't changed in a while: Rocket League - A game of infinite depth Rainbow Six Siege - The best competitive shooter I've ever played PUBG - What can I say, I'm a sucker for the BR concept, and I love the vaguely mil-sim approach they're taking. PUBG is clearly the most flawed of my games right now but I do still love it. As for what's coming: BLOPSIIII - The BR mode is fun, the regular modes were ok. Even if I end up sticking to just the BR mode I will get my money's worth. RDR2 - My boys up in Carlsbad are sure to deliver a hell of a sequel to the best open world game of all time. BFV - I'm a little on the fence about this one. The marketing has been bad. The BR mode doesn't seem to be as major of a focus as I feel it should be. And it's WW2 where it's been a solid 5 years since the last modern mainline title. I guess they're saving the good stuff for next-gen consoles but still. Something isn't quite right at DICE. They should be cleaning up and they're not. I think this game will shape up to be pretty great still, but I'm expecting a rough launch, and I don't know if they will retain the kind of playerbase they need. Destiny TTK came at a perfect time, where everyone had ditched Titanfall (hmmm Titanfall 3 next year maybe?), there was no good COD game, and Siege was still a couple of months away (and then another couple of months before I played it and realized that it was the game for me). I like D2 Forsaken, I'm glad that they have sort of fixed the weapon loadouts to where you can have a secondary sniper again. Though the legacy of that stupid change will be felt till Destiny 3 drops. If I wanted more grind and less competitiveness these days I would be all over D2.

I’m on pretty often, Mal. Usually 9 - midnight central or thereabouts. If you enjoyed Taken King, you’ll enjoy Forsaken as much, if not more.

Finally getting around to finishing the Sleeper quest...and working on the Polaris Lance quest as well.
I don't know why I didn't do it sooner, but better late than never I guess.

Man. It’s taken me all this time to grind one toon to 540. Nightfall ready at last. Now I’m hoping for a bit of acceleration. Will definitely level up another of my ladies. Maybe not three. The other two of my boudoir babes are pre Osiris. The opportunities for a solo player are much better than any previous incarnation of Destiny I think. I’m starting to not dread Gambit either. It can be ok but as always the pub rng is key.

Wait, 600 is max level?! Ugh. I think my max character is like 320... Yep. Here is a guide I used to help game the progression system somewhat. While I understand that level cap have always increased with each DLC this one no doubt went too high for a lot of people who wish to raid during the first week it was released and/or go in blind. Only 12 people managed to beat the raid within 24 hours of it being available compared to 30,000 or so for King's Fall. Add to the fact that 99% of the completions over the weekend were on the PC platform too. With plenty to do with the triumphs, especially the seals, I'm hoping there are no level cap increases for quite a while.

18 Crucible headshot kills away from Ace of Spades. Luckily IB is on. It wasn't an hard grind either. The 'Claws of the Wolf' Pulse he's pushing is a God Roll I think too?

Got Wish-Ender earlier. Nice to see Forsaken making exotics have decent quests to them like some of them did in Destiny 1. Bit amusing I've got this and I haven't killed Riven yet considering it's designed as post-raid content in terms of light level difficulty. Oh yeah, the strike catalysts appear to be dropping for me now. Over the past two days I've gotten Riskrunner, Wardcliff Coil and Prometheus Lens. For some reason I seem to have already had the Skyburners catalyst as that is supposedly exclusive to the Leviathan raid. And I haven't claimed Chaperone from Amanda yet in case it's stopping me from getting a Forsaken exotic, which it probably isn't.

Wait, 600 is max level?! Ugh. I think my max character is like 320... Getting to 500 is a snap. That allows you to crush all content except Nightfalls and the Raid. Progress from mid 5s to 600 is severely time gated, so go at your own pace.

It can be ok but as always the pub rng is key. One tip here, to get the most out of high level activities, I would advice to complete them before you reach their light level. If you are underleveled, you get a bigger boost in light level. We did nightfall first week at 515ish, and it was certainly doable (the 100K point reward needs a little higher light level though). Same goes for dreaming city. This expansion is meant to be played underleveled. I personally loved the current level gap. Yes it was a grind, but a fun one for me personally. The only thing one really needs to be 550+ for is the later raid encounters and the dungeon. 550 is very reachable within 4 weeks on a single character, multiple speed that up quite a bit.

Anyone on the PS4 side of things up for some super fun Iron Banner party time on Saturday and/or Sunday (sometime after 2pm Chicago time)?
Gambit could work too.

I reckon that makes you 6 hours behind me. so 4:00pm your time I could. I feel I can stop force leveling after last night, finally. Got what I needed for now. So yeah - I'm in. bradman might be on? As I turned off last night I saw him in IB.

Speaking of Gambit, is Blade Barrage better than Tether for this? I am on the Malfeasance quest and I need one team wipe when invading, or one more from a teammate (two already done for that).

Supers are not really team wipe material in gambit, it can work but sleeper/rockets/snipers/shotguns/pulse rifles work better in my experience. If you want to go the super route, golden gun 6 shooter is really the way to go imho.

I resurrected my Orpheus rigs. They are situational at best in PVP but in IB I've tethered the whole team twice since. I never know whether top tree or bottom tree is better. Thoughts?

The use cases for bottom three are very very very limited imho. Top tree gives dodge invis, bloodbound and a bigger tether. Bottom three kind of screws up the Rigs as well.
