Phase shifting into a Reaper kills Ronin. They need to change that, when there are 100 Reapers towards the end of an Attrition match. I don't disagree with their method of having phase shifting into an enemy titan killing Ronin, because if they did it like pilot phase shift (kills the enemy), Ronin would be OP. But Reapers? COME ON, MANNNNN.
edit: oops wrong thread this is LTS meta

Pfft at least your president gets 48% of the vote, here in Canada we give up complete control of the country for only 39%.

I live in Winnipeg, Canada. Every single bag of Doritos I have seen in about 20 different stores had the codes on them. Walmart, Safeway, Sobeys, Shoppers, etc.

My leveling up trick:
Bring about 8 guns to be 1 or 2 merits away from leveling up (make a class with each one), and 3 titans the same. THAT is when you pop a double XP (assuming you went to Walmart and took pictures of the codes on 100 bags of doritos like me)
You then proceed to: - level up all 8 of those guns (1 kill = 1 merit, thus the gun is leveled. Suicide and switch) - level up all 3 of your titans (assuming you get 3 about titanfalls per game) - along with completing the match, winning the match, and getting a 3 kill streak
That's 14 merits, double XP = 28 merits for one match, and you only used up 1 of your 100 stolen doritos codes. Play a few matches to get all your guns and titans ready to go again and repeat.

It all comes down to that brutal release date, plain and simple. This game would have sold 5x as much with a springtime release like the first one.

I was going to create a separate thread, but that seems to be excessive so I'll just change thread title and ask here: What do you think about Boost choices, and in what order do you recommend? Map Hack is the obvious choice, as even after the nerf it still wallhacks for your entire team. The pilot-killing sentry is also really good against less-able players, if you get it set up in a good spot. Ticks require no effort on your part and can rack up kills for you at times, they are super effective in CQB as players are tempted to shoot them, killing themselves if they are within a certain radius of it (and that radius is HUGE). Personally, I use Dice Roll (I paid to unlock it), even though it's probably the dumbest choice (sure, you unlock the boost "earlier", but you still get the same number of boosts in total in a match as it's tied to the titan timer). I use it because I like to keep the game fresh and interesting for myself, and it's fun to approach situations differently depending on what boost I have ready (I've had some nice moments with the phase rewind). Holo pilot burst + my normal 2 holo pilots = 5 holograms of me, hilarity ensues.

I just don't understand why they would include an ability that encourages and rewards you to stand still tactical loitering in a corner, and that is exactly what that a-wall thing does. It just goes against what the Titanfall philosophy is all about. I played a round last night against 6 players all doing that, and it was horribly un-fun. I mean, I still figured out a way to beat them, but it didn't stop it from being a miserable match that I did not enjoy. It was not Titanfall.

What the hell were they thinking when they added the A-Wall to the game? That and the Crash Site map is the worst cancer I think Titanfall could ever experience. Worse than COD.

Grapple or holo pilot, depending on the map. Grapple for the crappy, wide-open ones that I need the extra movement. Holo pilot for everything else (it's quite effective, and has a super short cooldown, like the grapple). I had a ton of fun with phase shift too, able to easily fool enemy pilots and kill them - But I don't want to be a stupid robot. If they let me be a human with phase shift, I would use that all the time, it's probably the best ability.
Any weapon - all are good. I lean more towards the SMGs for their laser-good hipfire accuracy, specifically the Volt and Alternator. Gun Runner is REQUIRED, and I usually like fast reloads in the 2nd slot.
My favourite ordinance are electric smoke and firestar, for quickly and quietly taking down groups of grunts (I mainly play Attrition)
Secondary varies, but usually thunderbolt or archer.
Kits I use are always health regen, the silent rodeo one (everything in this slot sucks), and of course the grand theft pistol sexecution.

You are my bro, bro. What was the source on this data? I wonder if Legion's stats were ever collected so I can test out how the patch affected it in the handy new solo private matches. They're taken from the Prima Games strategy guide. I haven't seen anyone dispute any of the numbers, so I guess we can take them as accurate (at least, at the time of printing). They were probably provided by Respawn in some kind of deal.

hebbnh Yeah just try to join The 54 Immortals and then I can approve the pending request or whatever. Just don't join the no-standards-having Dumien version. Coliseum is the most rage-inducing thing I have ever played in my life. I want to rip my dick off and smash my head through a wall So... you lost then. Used 30 tickets, won about half of them. Still such a frustrating game mode hah

I now hate games without auto sprint it's such a chore pressing an extra button. It's a conspiracy organized by the controller manufacturers to make you wear out your controllers faster (constantly clicking to sprint in COD games made all of the left sticks on my Xbox 360 controllers loose and wobbly)

Ion has probably the best anti-pilot weapon (shoulder laser) While I don't want to discredit how great that shoulder laser is at killing pilots, have you used Ronin's shotgun vs pilots? One shot hipfire instantly kills any pilot on your screen... you don't even have to line them up like you do with the laser.

Ronin is a good filthy attrition farmer. His shotgun is by far the best pilot killing weapon in the game, I usually rack up 5-10 pilot kills per Ronin I call in. But VS titans he is just so-so. I mean, you can phase in and rip apart a whole group of enemy titans with sword core, but it's a kamikaze move every single time.
Here's how I'd rank all of the titans:
ION: good all-rounder Scorch: okay all-rounder Ronin: best vs AI/pilots, okay vs titans Northstar: bad Tone: great vs titans & good vs AI/pilots (best all-round) Legion: best vs titans & okay vs AI/pilots

Finally finished the campaign on Master. I'll have to go back and pick up the helmets I missed (always do my first playthrough without any guides). I have to say - this is without a doubt the absolute best FPS campaign I have played in my entire life. Like, I enjoyed it even more than Borderlands, and it shits all over Kevin Spacey COD (the best COD campaign). The platforming puzzles are my favourite, some levels felt a lot like playing Portal. And the key to gun battles on Master is to MOVE FAST. Like, keep yourself above 30-40 kph and you won't get hit too often. If you try the camp-and-cover COD style, you'll still be able to get through, but you'll die a lot and need to retry many parts. But the boss fights, on Master, oh my! You'll die over and over trying to figure them out, but it's not bullshit random deaths like other games - it's that you are not using the winning strategy. The key is remembering that BT can change loadouts on the fly. For the final boss fight (vs Sloan), you'll want to be switching between at least two, maybe three different loadouts. I had the most success using Scorch when enemies are clustered close together (and on the Reaper wave), then either Tone or Legion for ranged damage when I have Sloan all alone. Once my core ability is ready, I would switch over to Ronin and dash in for a Sword Core (seems to pump out the most damage the quickest). Phase dash behind her as soon as she turns to shoot you and unload your shotgun, then switch to someone with Vortex shield to back the Foxtrot away behind cover before the Laser Cores your ass. Back to Tone/Legion to build up that core ability again. Be conservative with the limited, on-map batteries! Only grab one if you are below 50% health with no shield IMO. You'll accidentally be grabbing some from enemies you take out. I sure hope they do some paid campaign DLC an IMC-perspective campaign would be bonerific. I'm more excited for Titanfall 3's story than I am for the next season of Game of Thrones.

The Vanguard class titan is my favourite XD
I think it would be cool if they DLC released the other two Titan loadouts from the campaign:
Expedition (chaingun) and Brute (Quad Rockets)

Haven't even tried the MP yet - too busy having sex with this campaign. I absolutely recommend you play it on "Master" or at least "Hard". I heard the default difficulty is way too easy - reviewers were finishing the campaign in 4 hours on it. I'm pushing 10 hours now on "Master" and I have no idea how much campaign is left.
Being a spade, I love exploring. And this campaign not only allows that - it greatly encourages it (with the hunt for the "pilot helmets"). These campaign levels are HUGE outside of the linear story path - I definitely ended up in several places that I was not supposed to, and glitched under/out of the map a few times.

They are really pushing that new Bounty Hunter, putting it at the top of the game mode list. Really unfortunate, because that mode sucks humongous balls, I figured out that it is the reason I did not fully enjoy the beta. They really REALLY need to put the mosh pit at the top of the list - ALL shooter games need to do this. Gears of War does it and it is incredible, you actually get to play different game modes all day!
Especially considering that, as you guys are pointing out, the player population could die down fairly quickly on PC. The last thing you want is people playing that shit Bounty Hunter as the primary mode - that will turn them right off this game. And putting Attrition up top isn't a super good solution (I mean, it's probably the best game mode aside from CTF, and very noob friendly, but VARIETY is the key to longevity), then we just have the first game over again....

I'd like these maps if it were a flat, "boots on the ground" COD. For a game with this movement system, there definitely needs to be more verticality. Invisible barriers blocking access to areas that appear to be accessible just kills this type of game for me. Oh, you can double jump and wallrun to get 50 feet in the air, but that 15 foot high rooftop? Nah the developers don't want you up there.

That ship-to-ship mission gets my pants tight. Nice to see first-person embarking animations in the campaign too, hopefully will be added as an option to multiplayer.

Neither list is taking into account that you can burn duplicates for 1 cryptokey each. At this late stage in the game (month 12), it's safe to assume that most players will be getting a significant number of duplicate items in the 6 common supply drops, probably far in excess of the bonus cryptokeys given from the rare supply drops. And that amount will only increase with time, as the player unlocks more and more items by buying the 6 common packs, their return from burning duplicates just gets better.

I mean, I'm just saying it's funny to see the same thing happen over again. A symbol having it's context redefined to something that it clearly is not. But you seem to think there is no similarity whatsoever between these two recent situations?
What's the next symbol they are going to declare is racist?
