It is a typo. On Sledgehammer's part.

Would it be worthwhile to add a 60 FPS RPM column to the sheet?

So it is normal for the long range value to be lower than the close range value, right? Lol After 200 units (5m so close range) it goes to its minimum damage so 5 shots to kill. So basically those 2 variants are crap Wait... it doesn't have a 3hk range of 5m and then a 4hk range of 2m? Good lord, what is life I've actually found the Feedback to be a decent long range variant when suppressed. Ofc it's virtually 5hk always so you only want to use it past 26m (normal 4hk range on the IMR), and that's usually where the IMR sucks; the burst delay slows TTK right down, but the Feedback's delay is 20% faster. But faster kills obviously depend on your ability to hit the trigger at the right time, every time Overall the IMR is underwhelming due to a lack of range and damage. I'm good at making my shots count so I'd love either the Boar Strike or Impact.

I have the Impact and not the Boar Strike, but, on paper, the Boar Strike looks inferior to me due to its lower fire rate and higher recoil.
I like the IMR as a whole and it is my second most used assault rifle after the Bal. Even though it almost always requires two bursts, the overall fire rate is high at 800 RPM, which is slightly higher than some of the other assault rifles after frame rate rounding (which lowers 857 RPM to 720).
The gun has no recoil and the three hit kill range is non-existent. The increased damage of the Impact means that a silencer has effectively no range penalty.
The add time for the normal reload is stupid fast, like, someone made a typo fast. This is something I noticed even in the very first single player trailer.
TL;DR: I think the IMR is underrated. It's not bad, but most players seem to think it is. If it receives a buff, it'll probably be top tier. Compared to the RIP, an Impact has higher rate of fire, some three hit kill range, a larger magazine, faster reload, and regenerating ammo. The two burst kill range is ridiculous and is more consistent and more forgiving than the one burst kill range of the Hole Puncher.

The real reason it's underrated is that no one likes to use burst weapons. They just require discipline that normal players can't be bothered with. Of course if it gets a buff I won't complain. Since I don't have a ARX hole puncher the IMR is my go to burst weapon.

Why potentially one burst across the map at 900rpm~ when you can do it at 1200rpm? Same goes for the "Elite" Steel Bite vs Hole Puncher. I have the Steel Bite, and want the Hole Puncher lol

Niche for the IMR is in Zombies mode as it prints ammo. When you are glitching in a zombie pile-up spot and can't drop down to grab max ammos, it is your best friend. Just sit up there all day and wait for the ammo to print back to full. yeehaw

no one likes to use burst weapons. They just require discipline that normal players can't be bothered with. This was true through MW3 where burst guns had long delays. However, modern burst guns have short delays and can be fired quickly by just spamming the trigger.

CoD 4 and MW2 had far better gun balance than modern games. In CoD 4's case, that's really saying something.

IDK, I thought it was pretty poor. Trading sway for recoil doesn't make a lot of sense to me. (The ARs/SMGs) Also, the M14 was crap.
MW2, if you ignore the obvious flaws (UMP, Danger Close), wasn't too bad.

I didn't say that CoD 4 had good gun balance, but rather that it had better gun balance. The sway tradeoff also makes zero sense to me.
The UMP was not overpowered. It had the lowest fire rate of the SMGs and its TTK in CQC was lowest in class (without Stopping Power).
...there were some joke guns in MW2 though (Uzi, F2000), which prevent the game from being a paragon of weapon balance.

MW2 would have been the perfect game if the Zampella/West thing didn't happen. They would have patched OneManArmy reloading explosives within a month.
And MW3 would have actually been a ridiculously great game, like Titanfall good but in the CODiverse. And Soap would still be alive.

UMP seems pretty OP to me now, and definitely back then. Suppressor was free and it had SMG characteristics. Sure, it wasn't the best CQ gun in the game, but it was pretty damn good (thanks to being an SMG), allowed you to use cold blooded rather than SP (or anything else, like Lightweight in SND), and a 3HK at a range = stronger than the ACR.
Joke guns aren't too big a deal (even though I realize they werent designed with this goal). As long as people realize they are garbage, and yet have some small niche, it's all good. Acceptable: MW2 F2K/BO1 Skorpion | Unacceptable: BO1 Uzi/AW EPM3. Not sure if that makes any sense...
As for the game's potential.. it definitely could have been better.. but looking back, I don't immediately think of OMA tubes and the UMP. The game itself was good but still flawed with those absurdly low TTKs and poor perk balance.. this wouldn't have changed no matter who they had left developing the game.

However, modern burst guns have short delays and can be fired quickly by just spamming the trigger. That's a problem for me with BO2, Ghosts (MSBS nerf) and AW. Burst weapons used to be faster firing and more powerful, and they rewarded accuracy for that reason... screw up on your first burst, and you're likely going to die. Now they're all weak (ignoring the SWAT-556), accurate spammers that have worse TTKs than fully autos. There's no point having them in the game anymore. The IMR fires at 1200rpm per burst, yet its TTK at 26m< is 0.3s, assuming you hit every shot and you take no longer than 0.1s to let go of and press the trigger again lol. I'd only pick the IMR up if I found the Impact or Boar Strike... Or if I felt like my accuracy stat needed a pick me up lmao. Hitmarkers for days.

Stopping Power was the usual tier 2 perk of choice for obvious reasons. The UMP45, in its standard form, was a fully auto marksman rifle that had SMG mobility and all the other accompanying advantages. With Stopping Power, you got a 20m 2hk range, which meant you'd kill as fast as a normal rapid fire SMG (2hk at 600rpm = 3hk at 900rpm, with one less bullet for you to worry about missing), meaning it had no weaknesses. If you wanted to use something other than SP, you just use the UMP on a bigger map. It had the best mobility and best long range TTK lol

I'd only pick the IMR up if I found the Impact or Boar Strike... The IMR has a 3 hit kill TTK of 0.10 s and a 4 hit kill TTK of 0.15 s, which is better than any automatic except a Speakeasy rapid fire. One burst kills are rare, even with the Impact, but that failing to acquire a one burst kill means your aim or distance is such that you would not have achieved an ideal TTK with any other weapon besides.

Are the unlocks of the variants random or do you have to do something in specific?

Quick question re: the Pytaek Magnified. In game stat bar shows this variant to have +1 range but -1 handling. Stats spreadsheet reflect -10% handling, is this accurate?

Question about snipers, in particular the MORS: what exactly does the damage multiplier do in terms of affect on the one hit kill, which multipliers are and which aren't one hit kills? (not including wall banging or anything)

Is the genuine not the best KF5 variant, with the damage buff making it always at least a 5 hit kill, and the range nerf being totally irrelevant, not even mentioning the other benefits?

(not including wall banging or anything) Increased damage multipliers does nothing on Mors and Atlas in that case. Damage + accuracy wise it is the best KF5.

That is an opinion. Most prefer the Breakneck due to its high rate of fire.

For the KF5 question, the Breakneck has the fastest TTK at all ranges with 60fps frame rounding. For the MORS question, the 1.1 multiplier is a 1HK, so anything that isn't a limb is gold. The only benefit to the variants with higher multipliers is via penetration (i.e. shooting them through a window), or dealing damage to a killstreak or a player with exo stim.

Thanks. For the KF5 thing, I was just saying the weapon had no real downside. About the snipers, would that mean that the damage increase/ decrease on variants is for the most part irrelevant?
