I really for the life of me don't understand why everyone doesn't do that. You get soooooo much more of a richer experience not only going through the levels, but having the fun of talking it out, strategizing, thinking out the puzzles. Doing that, it ultimately makes getting it done so much more rewarding. And the thing is, that type of fun is only a one shot deal. The first time feeling can only be felt once. For all of us, now it's just about about mechanics. edit. We still have one more stage, so that's still to come!! |

There is a chest at the very beginning.
It can be soloed.
From the very start (where you land after jumping down).
There is a stone path to the left half way to the first lantern (so barely forward from the start - basically just 25 meters or do into the dark. Go left, and there is a door. There is a small light above it. The chest spawns inside the door. It opens when you approach. If the light is not on, let yourself die to thrall and respawn. Repeat until the light is on and the chest is there.
Chest contains radiant shards/energy and a chance for an exotic!

Question: for this chest we missed, can I wipe clean on CsE for my character I used last night, jump in, and get the chest?
Or: can I just join somebody who has not done CsE and get the chest?

We can definitely test this one when you and I are online tomorrow. I'll follow your second character, and then you can follow mine. |

I think as long as you haven't already looted that chest, you should be able to restart and be able to get it. Also, I've seen there may be another chest in phase 1, around the 6th or so lantern thing before you go up a hill on your right towards the next lantern, you can jump off a wall to the left. There are doors down there that open up and the chest is in there. Apparently the 1st chest can spawn in a couple different spots, so I'm not sure yet if this is one of those locations or if it's actually a 2nd chest. Hopefully reddit gets that cleared up for us soon.

This one is weird. He uses an light explosion to power boost himself from Light #2, up high ONTO the 2nd tier area, where lights #12 to #16 reside.

I'm going to try that one first. It takes less time and it looks like nothing really spawns up there to get in your way. If you get the launch right, you should be clear until the very end.
