I am creating this thread to 1) keep all the raid info together in one place, and 2) keep the other threads spoiler free (for a few weeks or so). Please use this thread for raid specific discussions/comments/impressions. On the speed run news front: looks like the competitors are getting close to 1 hour mark (source: destinytracker tweet): pbs.twimg.com/media/CPVzY2_WwAAbgY1.jpg:largeAlso, there are quests that depend on raid completion, for example:

Spoiler free hints if you want them.
Communicating is more important here than in any other raid.
I don't think this raid is possible with less than 5 people.
Using a sword really helps with the parkour sections. It lets you see if there are any...surprises around you.
During certain parkour sections have your ghost out...you might get an exotic chest for your diligence...
Thee are multiple DPS (damage per second) checks in this raid. Key things to pass the test are: snipers (especially), weapons of light (especially) scout rifles, supers, the thungerlord and raid weapons with the perk cocoon. Rocket launchers are bad for this. I have popped more special ammo than I have heavy for this raid.
Pay attention to the buffs/debuffs you have. There is alot going on with these. Try to science them out and figure out what they do.
Pattern recognition and puzzle solving is a thing in this raid...even in boss fights.
Almost every boss requires one guy on "add duty." This entails keeping everyone else safe.
Pay attention to when enemies spawn. You might be able to engineer a perfect fight if you can perfectly predict add spawns ("are they infinite? Is there a trigger?"
Once you figure out how to damage something you probably figured out how to win a fight. Try to nail repeat performances.
Have fun and try not to get spoiled on the final boss fight. Don't ruin it for yourself. Trust me.

Being mostly blind about the raid, I went ahead nonetheless and wrote the following "weapon readiness" recommendations over in XONE bro raid thread, would appreciate any spoiler free corrections from bros who have completed the raid:
Also, I will have enough marks to buy another weapon by Thursday. Trying to decide between Thunderlord and The Vertigo. Any suggestions would be high appreciated.

Add Special Ammo Synth to the list. Yep. Rocket Launchers aren't actually..."favorable"...in the raid. I wouldn't invest in one. Thunderlord seems good. Boolean Gemini+sniper is my go-to for DPS checks. My buddies are in love with the Red Death for certain areas. It is just very difficult to go wrong with the exotic selection. On my latest Raid completions I have been running Bad Juju because supers got way way more powerful.I give that one my personal vote. Hmmm...for bad choices... Truth is probably a bad pickup. Same with Last Word/Hawkmoon. The auto rifles are meh.

Surprised that Hawkmoon is not a good choice. I actually burned 156 marks (150 to get Y2 280 attack one from Blueprint, and 2 infusions to jack it up to 292 attack) on it thinking it is a great choice for Raid on Saturday when I did not have a decent primary weapon at all. Could have spent the glimmer on Red Death...
I thought Supercell is a pretty good choice? That was going to be my choice after getting it to drop with ToC lottery.
Anyways, it is no longer a problem for me personally since I am close to getting Boolean Gemini.

So uh... I think they changed the ammo system. I have the raid handcannon (with similar perks to fatebringer) and I still don't want to use it on certain parts of the raid because sometimes I just run out of ammo with hand cannons. If hawk is your best option then I say go for it! Supercell seems OK but it doesn't really do good at single target damage. Scouts and pulse rifles have a nice balance between DPS and ammo count....and even with them I sometimes run out of ammo.

I am glad we had this conversation . Yes, Hebb / THebb / I were Hawkmooning everything on Sunday, and we all felt the pain of running out of primary ammo (while enjoying its awesome look, feel and sound). I guess it is not a critical problem, because white ammo packs only cost 100 glimmer. I got a 298 legendary ScoutR called "Not Like The Others" with the following stats / perks: 1) same archetype as "Zero Point LOTP" as in HoW, mid-impact, second only to Gheleon's Demise archetype; 2) Mag size = 11 3) Perk 1 = Eye of The Storm: lower health -> more accurate 4) Perk 2 = Perfect Balance / Injection Mold / Mutini (more damage against Fallen Captains) 5) Perk 3 = Grenadier This would be a solid choice? If I were to buy and use Thunderlord, I would need a non-exotic for primary and special (at special I have two SRs: Stillpiercer, 1000-Yardstare and the 300 attack shotty from Neverending Battle quest)

Seems good. Worrying about good vs. bad perks is something we can worry about once hard mode comes out. Cocoon OP.

Let's also hope this week's NF gives us better stuff than last week Another question and this may cause spoilers (in that case don't tell us yet ), any specific exotic armors that we should consider bringing?

Haven't found a authoritative source for loot table, this one looks believable enough (but probably incomplete):

To reach 310 on each slot:
Artifact:
Easiest of the 10, The Road to King's Fall quest provides a sure way to get a 310 artifact.
Primary / special / helm / chest / gauntlet:
Exotic engrams of these gear types can be obtained from Three of Coins (ToC) or Xur (armor only), which can then be decoded into 310 by Cryptarch with a fairly good chance (> 33% based on my limited experience), provided you are at >= 300 light. This is the easiest way to get these pieces to 310.
Keep in mind: you can infuse the 310 exotics obtained to legendaries. You'll probably need to infuse two times to reach 310.
Of course, you can always expect a 310 drop from raid, but that's much more difficult, not to mention you can only do 3 raids per week, while you can do ToCs whenever you like.
Heavy:
The sure way to get a 310 Heavy is to get an exotic sword.
Boots / Class Item / Ghost Shell:
It appears to me that >= 300 pieces can only be obtained from the Raid. So these are much tougher. Among them, Class Items seem to be dropped fairly often and Ghost Shells have two drop points with OKish drop rate (everyone of my group has gotten at least one after 1.5 runs).
Boots can only be dropped at the Golgoroth, with a pretty rare drop rate (I have never seen it drop in my 1 + 0.5 + 0.5 runs so far), making it THE toughest.

I think oryx gives you a primary, and if you have 20 shards, can give you anything available in the raid. I have gotten boots of him for example.
The hive ship chest also gave me an antiquated ruine btw.

The map is good in that if I can't remember which ship to jump to, which happens every time, I can always look it up

This raid is actually pretty LFG friendly, once you went through it with friends 3-4 times and know the fight, and get to 300+ light. I have been doing Monday night last minute raid runs solo (looking for 5 more) for 3 weeks, with reasonable success. With the exception of the epic fail (when we had the Oryx at last kill point with 1 minute to go, and 2 teammates decided to go for hammers instead of crits), the other runs are smooth and quick. "Too bad" you guys are on PS4, we would have loved to have you in our rotations on the XONE

Nor me. It's a pain the the fekkin ass. LFG time soon. 'hate that shit. I discovered a right gem in year 1. On the100 there was a listing for Trials and the host only wanted people who have gone flawless despite never going flawless himself. I've joined up with weaker players than myself happily enough, just be honest. I won't overly care about not getting loot etc when Bungie made Trials anti-competitive with its economy system they belated changed.

wings: I would love to hear how you are doing LFG for trials (if it is in general a positive experience), as I would like to do that sometime. I care much less about drops and more about the experience.

No, but I could see them pulling something where the drops aren't guaranteed but you can run them asmany times as you want for a shot
