Last night was definitely a learning experience for me being on the ground for a change. I know I goofed a couple times, but I think I got the hang of it pretty quick. Most of it was just getting a feel for where things were spawning and what was going to be trying to kill me, etc.
wings I will say when I was in the group with you and some of your other crew, there is no question that Snipemaster chick was running the relic too slow. I know I mentioned it a couple times and a couple other people did too. I didn't want to get rude about it or anything and wanted to see if she'd get any better/faster, but that didn't happen. That vessel should be getting dunked on pretty much right out of the ship. There were times the vessel was already in the middle and she had just jumped down from her last platform. That's why people were getting killed on their platforms. The running has to be done extremely quickly so people aren't stuck out there exposed to all the eyeballs and centurions.
Yeah the last time I played with her before this Raid she was too stubborn for her own good on a Nightfall in year 1 so I'll take note for future reference. I would have saved the hassle and not invite you if I knew it was going to be a long day. I started getting annoyed because of how late it is was for me, and I mentioned Viper wasn't going to have much time left either, and it felt it went in one ear and out the other unless it was a communications issue. I'll try and join earlier sessions.
"Guns and bombs don't kill people. Clever scientists who want to build a better method of destruction kill people - lots of them. Most of my Gears couldn't make anything more lethal than a blade or a bow. So you'll forgive me if I think it stinks that my Gears get your "baby-killer" crap and your educated colleagues get research grants. And that's before you start inventing other shit you can't control." - Victor Hoffman.
Didn't read all of this, and I don't know if you are doing this, but what we thought was very helpful is not killing any adds in the platform stage of the fight. The moment all four knights are killed we used one or two tethers (one front, one back) and made a bazillion orbs of light for our titans while clearing adds from the middle. Everybody had their supers up all the time. We even used double bubbles in the shade part every single time.
Also, knights clearance is a piece of cake, from every angle imho. R1 and L1 are also quite easy once you learn where they spawn. You have at least 5 seconds to shoot them. If you are not a good sniper, the best solution is a tracking launcher. Don't be afraid to admit your shortcomings, and just adjust strategy.
This challenge was not as hard as I imagined it would be. Still allot of fun though
