I thought suppressor was 90% less range on rifles and LMGs.

I thought suppressor was 90% less range on rifles and LMGs. Drift0r says 50% on ARs.

So basically even with the massive increase in penalty for using a suppressor in this version of COD, you can turn it to a positive on certain AR's. Something that cannot be done in any other COD. Unless I'm mistaken long barrel could never be used with a suppressor in years past.
Not sure why a silencer is being stated as "useless" then...

The assault rifles are a different story. There, the long barrel bonus is greater than the range reduction from the silencer. Wrong. He's wrong.

So is there a different interaction when using long barrel and suppressor? Even if the exact figures are wrong I would think the 100% long barrel bonus to AR's other then KN would be a bigger benefit then the suppressor reduction? Interesting.

I'm pretty sure it's the same as the other games.
Example: Rifle A has 100 units of range.
100U X.1 Sup = 10, 10 X2 LB =20 Units.
Of course I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's the same as the other games. Example: Rifle A has 100 units of range. 100U X.9 Sup = 10, 10 X2 LB =20 Units. Of course I could be wrong. That makes more sense, I was thinking about it as if the multipliers were applied to the base range.

100U X .1 Sup = 10, 10 X2 LB =20 Units. ftfy Assuming suppressor is a 90% reduction.

Of course, Marvel says the 50% is wrong. So, who knows?

It looked like about 75% reduction on most ARs. So 50% with LB?

Where can we find the actual answer? Was there a post somewhere?
We should come up with an auto-filter for Drift0r's name. Like "usually-incorrect-youtube-celebrity" or "Mr. Wrongy-pants" or "Wrong McWrongerson" or "He Who Is Usually Wrong" or something.

I said this in the LMG thread, but the Recon Sight has the same "no idle sway on nonsnipers" bonus as the ACOG sight from BO2 had.

Wall tests do not tell the whole story when it comes to grip considering how aim assist affects recoil. A 7.5% decrease in view kick is significant when sticky aim tries to keep your bullets on target while firing.

A 7.5% decrease in view kick is significant when sticky aim tries to keep your bullets on target while firing. But is it? That's as much conjecture as anything else, especially since we don't have the wealth of gun attributes that we usually have. I know the Denbros I play with every day have stopped using Grip, and I haven't heard a peep out of any of them that they've noticed a difference. Anything close-to-medium range is pretty much on target anyway; long ranges you burst fire. Hell, the much-maligned KN-44 is practically a laser with the ELO at medium range. Speaking of attachments, what are we dropping for Grip? Opticals are far more useful for staying on target in this game. QuickDraw is almost always a winner. Are you going to drop the OP Long Barrel from ARs? Or Laser Sights or Extended Mags from SMGs for it?

Are you going to drop the OP Long Barrel from ARs? Or Laser Sights or Extended Mags from SMGs for it? Are they doing A/B testing? At least from my experience, it makes a big difference on the HVK and Kuda; both those weapons can be stretched out to medium-long range with a foregrip and optic. Interestingly enough, those are both the 720rpm weapons. I don't think the other subs need it at the ranges they are effective and most ARs have too much recoil (MoW/KN-44)/not enough recoil (everything else) for it to be worth a point. On the Kuda, I'm using ELO + Grip + Stock w/Fast Hands. I find that even with quickdraw AND fast-hands, I'll get melted by a VMP/Vesper if I'm sprinting and try to ADS. On the other hand, with Fast Hands, I can beat most ARs in the same situation without Quickdraw. So why bother with it? Therefore, I play the Kuda like a more mobile, shorter range HVK and ADS around every corner that isn't occupied by my team. I find this actually very effective on maps with shorter lines of sight like Breach, Evac and Exodus. On the HVK, I'm actually using ELO + Quickdraw + Grip + High Caliber + Stock w/ Sixth Sense and Awareness. It benefits from a lot of attachments so why not throw them all on? Recently though, I've transitioned more to the ICR-1. It just doesn't miss. I question the efficacy of long barrel on ARs. Doubling the effective range sounds nice on paper but how often are you getting into gunfights past 42 meters anyways? I would say that 90% of the time for me, I'm fighting within my effective range and would be essentially wasting a point on long barrel. Have your Denbros try their ARs without it and see if they notice a big difference. Of the SMGs, I think only the Vesper really benefits from Extended/Fast Mags. Most of them reload in less than 2 seconds anyways. The VMP, Weevil and Pharo have larger magazines to begin with and the Kuda and Razorback don't need to burn through ammo like the Vesper does. Laser sight is definitely helpful, especially on the faster firing SMGs. I have a Vesper class w/ Extended Mags + Laser Sight and I just jump over people and try to hipfire them. It's the most fun I have losing in this game

So is the P0-6 even a thing on consoles? Just curious.

So is the P0-6 even a thing on consoles? Just curious. I don't believe it is. Most of the time it's just bolt actions or silenced spammy-spammy-druganovs. I just got the Drakon to gold (wipes dirt off shoulder) and the P-06 is a freaking breath of fresh air. So much less hitmarkers. Much more kills/OSKs. Definitely not going to take 503 kills to get gold lol.

The M8 is still good, I don't regret spending a token on it still, I can't stand the XR-2. The rpm in the burst when I last used it was just too slow. Rapid-fire on the burst and semi auto weapons is an attachment I enjoy, especially on the Brecci.

I perm unlocked sex panther perk this time. So I guess the next nerf will be to that. I'm actually enjoying using the early guns again now like the Dingo and Kuda.
